Perfect Pearls Techniques

One of the great things about Perfect Pearls* is that it has the resin already added, so all you need to add is water to set it. Let's share our favorite ways of using Perfect Pearls.
*Perfect Pearls are from Ranger. Mine came in a package of 4 pots of different colors, with 2 brushes.

Here is a simple Perfect Pearls Resist Technique:

I stamped the flower with VersaMark Watermark ink, then embossed it with white embossing powder. Next I brushed Perfect Pearls all over the the cardstock (over and behind the embossed flower), then misted with water. (You can see the evidence of the water droplets on the background.)

Perfect Pearls Glaze Technique

-Mix Perfect Pearls with water. (I used white Perfect Pearls for these samples.)
-Brush the mixture on cardstock. (I chose lilac and turquoise-ish cardstock for my samples.)
-Buff off with a paper towel.

Scans don't do justice to the shimmery background you create. Have fun. Can't wait to see what you make!

Kissed Perfect Pearls

Press VersaMark watermark ink on regular* black cardstock,
then use the fluffy brush to brush on Perfect Pearls.
Use an uninked bold stamp and stamp on to the cardstock to remove the Perfect Pearls and reveal the black cardstock.

(I used the Perfect Pearls Sparkles for first ATC and Perfect Pearls Metallic copper and gold.)
*BTW, glossy cardstock didn't work for me, so save your black glossy for a different project.

I have some of these just sitting and haven't really had a chance to play with them - kept looking at them and saying I have to play with these sometime, but how? And I have some lovely images that these would work with quite well. Experimentation time!

Distress Pearls Resist

1. Clear emboss your image on white regular cardstock.
2. Use an Ink Blending tool to add ink over embossed image and onto background.*
3. Use a fluffy brush to brush Perfect Pearls over image.**
4. Mist with water to "set" the Perfect Pearls. (Notice the cool water droplets. The sequin waste in the bottom left was overstamped at the end.)
5. Use a dry-ish damp cloth and wipe over embossed image to remove extra ink.

*I used Peeled Paint and Tattered Rose Distress Inks in this sample.
