Default Slider assistance please...

I'm trying to make a mock shoji screen out of foam board, but am clearly out of my league. My goal is to make a track for one of the boards to slide over the other board. Any suggestions or ideas?

The base piece is 4.5" long x 4" high. The piece that I want to slide is 3.75" long x 4" high.

Okay... can one side be fixed? You know non movable and do you have a maximum of how deep the final one is? Like do you have to mail it? And do you have any grunge board or chipboard handy?

Yes, one side can be fixed. I do have to mail it as this is for my Matsuri Fat Card swap. Is chipboard what coasters are made out of?

It needs to be about 5/8" deep. Let me post pictures to give you a better idea.

Here is a picture of what I am working with. There is one thing that still needs to be done either before or after your idea and that is I want to put a black border around each piece to give it a framed look.

Very nice....you will not need the shim if the back screen goes all the way across...

I can build a corner mock up and send real photo if that will help

After glue is dry (or cool) put your sliding part in and close up the side...

That's what I'm looking for but I'm stuck on the understanding of it all.
