Safety wire pliers aka wire twister pliers

One day, when I was in about sixth grade, my dad came home from work with a really cool tool. (He was an engine mechanic for North Central Airlines). Since I've started crafting and recently received a bunch of colored crafting wire from my DS, I've been wondering, has anyone tried using one of these with crafting wire?

I've never seen one, but you're absolutely right. It is a really cool tool.

My Dh says that it is a brake adjusting tool used to adjust brakes. It is a specialty tool used in the automotive industry you may find one at automotive stores?
Very cool tool but no doubt expensive? How cool to have one!

It's about $40, so not much more than any of the other tools we purchase for our craft.

We have a place here called Tool Town. I just picked up one of these nifty neat-o pliers for around $20 after tax. When I got home, I had to play. I used two different colors of wire. It took a little bit of doing, but I finally was successful:
