I use my Klingon and my Letterpress for stamping. I may be the only one with the problem of over-inking my stamps, but the area around my stamp gets really messy with ink. My solution, I figured out yesterday, is to make a paper sleeve, with the stamp shape cut out, to tape around the stamp. Now I don't have to clean lid of my Klingon or my Letterpress. No muss, no fuss.

Good for you! I really believe we can solve most problems without buying another product.
I solved the problem of black embossing putting little spots (even with the little embossing pouch) by just putting more spots on the finished product. That is the rage anyway.

Don, I also tend to get a bit enthusiastic when inking my stamps. Sometimes I clean around the edges with edges of a baby wipe. I'll try your idea next!

I keep trying to tell new stampers that the only ink you want is on the raised part of the stamp. Tap lightly, don't mush the stamp into the pad, ink most stamps on their back so you can see where the ink is going. Helps to keep the work cleaner and simplifies clean up.
