I think you could also brayer the dye ink onto glossy if you do not have spray mists.

I made some quick Lysol backgrounds tonight. I made it in the bathtub, removed it to dry, then rinsed the tub and made another one. When I lifted the second sheet of Lysol Background paper out of the tub I saw the overspray had blended with the water. Not wanting to lose the beautifully blending ink in the tub, I ran and got some white cardstock, kneeled down to blot up the spray onto the cardstock, and quickly discovered I HAD KNEELED ON my wet Lysol background. I now have a lovely green/blue inky knee on my jeans. LOL

BTW, it is much easier to clean the overspray in the bathtub if you do it quickly!

DH has picked up some alcohol re-inkers for use on his model car building, and wants to get more colors. Gonna hafta try them with this technique.

You can mix colors to get new ones.

I haven't tried it with alcohol inks. Let us know how it turns out.

I'm sure you know this, but don't do this technique in the bathtub using alcohol ink.

I try to pick up cardboard boxes in Costco for messy jobs. Then pitch them when I'm done. There are some large flat boxes that are like trays that are just perfect.

I hate to use my stamping supplies to clean the bathroom, but sometimes we must sacrifice -- Lysol All Purpose Cleaner to clean the shower (my daughter is coming to visit next week).

Actually the Lysol Technique is one of my favorite background techniques!

Did you know you can color your (silver) staples with a black Sharpie marker and put them back in the stapler and it doesn't jam at all? I bet Copics would work too.

I just hate cleaning the bathroom period..... doesn't matter what supplies are used!!

I would imagine that other Sharpie colors would work as well, wouldn't they?? I have at least twenty Sharpie marker colors, but never thought about coloring staples with them.

Just curious... have you ever tried making them gold or copper with a Krylon marker??

I'm supposed to be cleaning my stamping room, but I'd rather play with the stuff I am putting away.

I now have some gold staple. I colored the silver staples with a Krylon marker. Just be sure the ink/paint is dry before putting the staples back in the stapler.
