Bubbles technique

This is not a new technique, but great fun to play with and use as backgrounds. Warning: this technique gets messy! Protect your clothes.

You will need some acrylic paints, dishwashing liquid and glossy paper.

Squirt some acrylic paint into a disposable cup. Next add a squirt of dishwashing liquid then some water. (Experiment with the amounts you use for more intense or subtle color.) Use your straw to mix the ingredients. Blow lots of bubbles so they overflow the cup. You can bring the cardstock down onto the bubbles letting them pop on the cardstock, or you can let the bubbles flow over the cup onto paper. Do NOT inhale bubbles! If desired, create another batch of bubbles with a different color and add to your cardstock.

I stamped directly on the prepared background with chalk ink. Other inks may work well too.

You can also use a paper plate or a pie plate for a larger bubble area.

ok my " bubble cardstock " is drying , by tomorrow I should be able to work with it. That was different

I must say I had some really big bubbles going.... so it will either be a good surprise tomorrow or a messy lol

I haven't done this technique for a while, but your mention of "messy" reminds me of the messy part for me -- my glasses were a mess from the popping bubbles! LOL Fortunately it washed off.
