The Psychology of Color
|
I tend to be drawn to all the earthy colors, that is why I like making fall cards more than any other. My ton of papers all tend to be mostly earth tones.
|
I'm drawn to 50s colors.

I never thought of the psychology of color in my papercrafts.
I usually think of it in home painting and decorating and clothing. In my papercrafts I use colors I like (every shade of BLUE) and the colors that look good with them. |
Color has always fascinated me. As a kid, I remember the World Book Encyclopedia had an image of Lincoln made with negative colors that would transform to positive after staring at it and then looking at a piece of white paper. I also remember the Luscher Color Test which was supposed to reveal your personality based on the colors you preferred. It has since been debunked, but was still fun.
I love working with all colors but tend to decorate with warm tones. The fall colors, especially golden yellow, please me the most. It makes me laugh that the rooms at which the HGTV renovators turn up their noses are the ones I find pleasing. Gray, white and black are not my go-to colors. |
It seems like everyone wants grey walls on those shows -- not me!
|
I have so much to learn about color. The power of color is pretty incredible.
