Both seemed to happen, some of the paint must have dissolved as I could see it run into the liquid a bit, some peeled, some I dug out of corners with toothbrushes and toothpicks.

Glycerin. Sounds familiar. Wait a minute. Is Glycerin in that Ranger ink refresher? I'm no chemist obviously, but I think I heard that somewhere.

I have to be pretty careful when cleaning my rubber stamps if I take a bunch of them to the kitchen sink. Our town water is chlorinated so I usually very quickly dry them off the best I can so the chlorine doesn't harm the rubber.

I googled that and came up with Walmart, Walgreen's and Kmart.

Be sure you get plain glycerin and not the glycerin/alcohol mix, you should be able to purchase it in most any grocery or pharmacy store.

Duh. Some times my brain is mush. Or maybe I just regress to the majority of my life before computers. Thanks.

Under my kitchen sink is gamsol. glycerin and future floor wax. The cleaning supplies are on the other side! I found the glycerin at my local pharmacy.
