Wink Ever use paint as 'glue'?

Back in the '80s I did tons of projects with dimensional paint. My fave brand was Tulip (Duncan).

Not only did I use the paint to create patterns & textures, but it also worked as a 'glue' when I needed to add fabric flowers, jewels, etc.

Here's a tag I recently made for a swap. I used Tulip (Icicles) to edge the heart punchout & sprinkled it with tiny beads. The paint held the beads securely thru the mail without padding or other protection.

The base material is a giftcard holder that I turned into a tag. The clown is from I Brake For Stamps.

While it will be more labor-intensive, I'm planning to do sequins next--with paint as the 'glue'.

That's a beautiful tag. I need to remember that the paint can be used as a glue.

I don't think I ever have used paint as glue. Good idea! Love your tag.

Red face

Another neat thing about dimensional paint? Not only will it work as the glue, but it can double as a glaze.

If I had wanted to, I could have brushed the beads with the glitter paint to completely change the look.

Daniel your tag is so beautiful. The French clown stole my heart. You have a beautiful collection of stamps.

I do use dimensional paint quite a bit in my work. I agree it does work like a glue. I like to mix reinkers in mine. I buy white and the add reinkers to make my own custom palettes. I do buy other colors since I use 3d paint for my polymer clay creations and decoden. Daniel you hit the mark it does make a nice glaze especially if you like to make glazes for polymer clay food. I was thinking about that the other day how pretty dimensional paint would be on a polymer clay stamp piece.
