I knew about Spellbinders, but I didn't know you can also use Quickutz, Ellison, Jcut, Accu-cut, and Sizzix.

Go here for info on how to stack:

So, is anyone else using Cuttlebug or other types of embossing folders? What are you doing with it?

Distressed Cuttlebug

Smear various colors of Distress Ink inside one side of your embossing folder. (You are doing the background, so in this case the bird and grasses protrude.)
Spritz inked folder with enough water that the ink beads up.
Insert cardstock in folder and close. Have the protruding birds facing up*.
Run through Cuttlebug/embossing machine.
Let dry and use as desired.

*This will keep the pooling ink from settling in these protruding images.

Nice! I have tried it with the brick pattern...red paper and white ink (no spritzing)...makes it look like mortar. Yellow paper/brown ink-yellow brick road as in Oz

Tip using Sizzix texture plates: Spritz your cardstock with rubbing alcohol before running through the machine. I use 90% rubbing alcohol. This will give you a deeper impression. I can get CB embossing folder look using my texture plates with my alcohol trick.

I am adding another one. I hope this is ok if not I will fix it. MelStampz has a list of over 200 things you can do with your CB. It's a goldmine of techniques: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2008/0...en-bitten.html
