Question storing ATCs (from a newbie)

Was browsing/ogling/drooling over/awestruck/intimidated by the ATCs in some of the swaps. Golly gee, you guys do some great bling and detailing. Brought to mind a question, as some of them are incredibly 3-D and with lots of fibers and such. Do they fit in a card folder w/o being ruined? If not, how do you store them?

I have 3 ways.... one is the 7 gypsies framed trays...holds 12 which I put in with sticky tac....the stuff for posters. Another is the baseball card pages. And the third is a set of recipe file boxes that I keep "special" ones by my desk for inspiration. Will post photos soon.

If there's too much dimension on an ATC to fit a trading card pocket, I use 3.5x5 photo pocket pages instead. I like the idea of framing a selection of chunky ATC's so they can be on display instead of hidden away in a binder.

I've been considering using shadow boxes and hanging them on the wall of my craft studio. Haven't gotten there yet, but someday.

Thank you, Stacy. It doesn't seem that they would be very difficult to make. It's just a matter of making them. I was considering painting mine black. Another thing that may be possible is to get a frame and make it into a shadow box.

It's so obvious to me now, lol. What could be better for wall art in a stamp room but inspiration from your stamping friends!!

hmmm.... gonna have to think about this one, would be nice if some how it was made so that the ATC's could be changed out without having to unstaple/undo the backing every time.

It may be a consideration to use/make those triangle thingies that were used to hold photos in albums. What about Velcro?

I have a cork message board with decorative pushpins and pin up and rotate the ones I have. I do not have to put holes in them either so they stay hole free, but the issue of no dust appeals to put them in a framed unit of some sort. I also use the baseball card pages as well.
Critter I never thot of a recipe box that is a great idea too!
