You can put a piece of glossy card stock on both sides of the wax paper (have the glossy side of the pieces of card stock both facing the wax paper) when you iron to get a negative impression of the design on one piece with the positive design on the other piece. An artistic 2 for 1.

You usually want to make more than one piece when you are working on backgrounds anyway.
