I asked her why not try one yourself & she said sure ( she has never been afraid to try something new! )

The following is her 1st ATC !.... What do you think ? ....not to shabby for a 83 yr old

Deb, why do you stamp? And where do your projects go?

I find that I NEED to stamp from time to time or I get pretty crabby. Maybe I need "alone time" or have a need to be creative and make something pretty?? I can spend the whole day in my stamp room and be happy.

I am a teacher at heart, and love to share my love of stamping and creating with others. "If I can do this, anyone can" . I used to teach at Hobby Lobby, but life is too busy these days, so my teaching venue now is here at rsc by writing up tutorials or sending cards/instructions to magazines.

I also make cards for our pastor to send to visitors. And, of course, I enjoy participating in rsc swaps!

I can so relate to being a teacher at heart. A craft cafe just opened not too long ago in our area and I gave consideration to teaching, but I have more fun getting together with some of my friends who want to further explore the realm of stamping.

In fact, last Saturday our shoebox swap morphed into a shoebox/technique swap. I more than made up for my share. We invited eight, but there were only four of us that were able to make it. Since I had come up with the 'original' idea, I felt it incumbent upon me to make up for those who couldn't. So I brought FIVE techniques. After the adrenaline rush and our get together was over, I went home and crashed. Everyone enjoyed themselves and loved all the techniques, I'm just happy we only originally invited eight and not twenty.

Inky, you and your troupe do an outstanding job at every stamp camp I've attended and I am certain at also the ones I haven't. You give me creative energy.

Good to hear, AQ & Thank you! We're still brain dead by the time everybody goes home.

We totally enjoy our camps & teaching, but it does take energy. Not just the prepping, but being 'there' for our campers so they go home feeling like they had fun & learned something. I know we're still having fun doing it cuz we have camps booked thru' next January & are bouncing off the walls with anticipation for the new catty.

That's the adrenaline that keeps you going the whole way thru and then for some reason, it must be the lack of excitement post stamp camp, that the body crashes.

I've much better respect for what SU! or any demonstrator goes thru. Not to mention, you also do 'spirit' guests which is such a cool idea. Especially for those such as me that only get 4 made of the 20...
