This is my first attempt at scenic stamping and I was very perspective challenged at the time. The top one I colored in using Prismacolor. In the bottom one, I also colored in with Prismacolor, but I used DP for the background (I also used DP for the girl's dress and hat):

Making new masks is exactly what I've been doing, lol

Don't get me wrong, I can stamp and put a card together but I'm feeling the need to something more challenging. I think my muse has just gotten lazy, easier to make a card than to plan, mask, stamp and then color a scene.

That is a lot of work! My "muse" has always been lazy.

I am easily bored so challenging myself is the only thing that keeps me stamping. There is such a vast array of things to explore even with scenic stamping. Right now I'm using our laptop and don't have access to my pics. I can post them later if you life.

Many times I've been in a stamping rut. Getting out of that rut can be a challenge in and of itself. There have been times where I've come across an idea purely on accident. Other times, someone here such as Deb has introduced a technique that has worked to get me out of that rut. Exploring the possibilities here and on YouTube and just a Google search can yield interesting and satisfying results. Sheesh! I sound like a commercial.

Oh my gosh! I can find the table - only a few more things to put away. Still no clue what I'm doing for the thank you cards for youngest. I have too many ideas but she's a more clean and simple type of gal. Hum, that's an interesting quandry as a lot of my favorite coloring stamps remind me of her.

An epiphany, of sorts. Is the reason I'm drawn to CAS cards because my muse is essentially lazy? I admire complicated works, but don't want to try them. Perhaps it's a touch of fear--afraid I won't be able to do it as well. DH says I'm too hard on myself.

That's why I use scrap paper first. If I blunder there, I can cut out my non blunders and just move on. It gives that element of fear a good swift kick out of my crafting studio.
