The Zing is an amaZING cutting machine!! I've been teaching/selling it since it came out a couple months ago and I'm in LOVE with it!! Cuts 14" wide, unlimited lengths, a HUGE range of materials... laser alignment to fussy cut.... will etch, engrave, emboss, punch/pierce, write... I have a paylist of vids about it on my channel on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...0&feature=plcp and info on my site http://www.createncraft.com/shop/z...package

I have no affiliation with the Zing... just been reading about it and watched the video but I don't know if I need one or not... I was told I could have cut these figures with the Zing rather than fussy cutting them with scissors.

So, is it better than the other machines? I have no experience with any of them.

Just from what I have see...if I had seen this prior to purchasing the Silhouette....I would have gotten it. I would say I definately would choose it over the Cricut.

Most of the cutting machines that I am aware of are not designed to emboss so that is a very nice feature.

Did you watch the videos? There are several of them on YouTube.

All the electronic machines do emboss. Some you have to buy special jigs for them. You won't get CB type embossing with it though. See, I kept to the original topic too, lol.

I went off to see some of the videos. I could only find the kind of embossing that I would call scoring. That is not what I mean by embossing.
