Well I admit that I don't always take all of it. But they are the things I love to craft with..and if there is room and time...I will take it. It is the core of my craft room. I always carry a small watercolor pad, micron or zig pen, bone folder, xacto and small scissors in my purse.

Those Cutterbees are the bomb! They easily cut thru rubber like a knife thru butter!

As I recently took stamping stuff on vacation with me:

Cardstock: DP, Georgia Pacific, Neenah Solar White, SUp crumb cake and some odds and ends
Inks: Versafine Onyx Black, Momento Tuxedo Black, Stazon Black plus many of the Distress Inks
Markers: SUp and Momento (couldn't make up my mind which ones I might use), glitter pens, white pen
Prismacolor colored pencils
Various adhesives: dots, pop dots, mono tape runner (can't use a big ATG gun), Miracle Tape, quickie glue pen - I love this, especially with a little glitter
A few border punches
Fiskars cutter
Scissors: Kia, my favorite pair of nail scissors (aka stamping scissors), a small pair of scissors
Various wood and clear stamps, mostly Xmas as I'm thinking church craft fair
Distress block, various brads, hole punches, small winter Art Glitter
Box of ribbons, pearls, rhinestones, linen and jute thread

I didn't take my copics because I have so many - I love the tip in here of using the light copics. Would make sorting and coloring so much easier!

For simple crafting I carry a small sliding pencil box [1.25x3x7.5 inches] with the basics in it:

1 each mechanical pencil - regular lead, yellow lead, pink lead - different colors for different colors of paper
white Prismacolor white pencil
orange wood cuticle stick - used like a bone folder & to help hold smalls when coloring & gluing
pottery marking tool - used like a bone folder, has a soft pointed end & a wedged flat end
quilling tool
exacto knife with 2 foam tube style pencil holders, making it easier to hold for long cutting sessions.
replacement blades for exacto
eraser
small sanding block -1x1.5x.5 inches for distressing - found at Sally Beauty
replacement blade for paper trimmer - carried separately
4 1/2 inch binder clips to hold items together while waiting for glue to dry
1 hair elastic - to hold binder clips & to tie hair back for fine detail work
small regular sharp pointed scissors - basic cutting
cuticle scissors - fine & fussy cutting
surgical fine point tweezers with short drinking straw cover to protect the fine point
1 chocolate bar - one should never craft without chocolate nearby

Carried in small tote -
paper trimmer, clipboard with fun foam glued to backside, a tape runner adhesive & 1 replacement cartridge, a small supply of assorted card stock & printer paper in clam shell carry box, pencil sharpener in recycled pill bottle [keeps the shavings contained] medium acrylic block, assorted stamps, pens, pencils, ribbons, & embellies for current project

I also have a plastic locking lid tote with more supplies that I take to classes.
