You don't have to track anything on Twitter! Just pop in, see what folks you follow have said recently, comment on their tweets or post your own comment on the world (or not) & leave. One can easily spend hours drifting from follower to follower looking for new people to follow or following links to interesting things on the web or chatting with others. If you want to make sure your message gets thru' to somebody, you can direct messge them privately.

P.S. Hey Stampo! The lolcats that run the 'I can haz cheeseburgers' site are twitter anipals & posts a link for each new photo as it gets uploaded.

Inky,
I still can't figure out how to respond to people's questions without posting an update... and yes, I follow LOL Cheezburger cats... Love 'em!

On the right side of each posting are 2 'invisible' icons. Move your cursor to that area & you chould see a star w/an arrow under it appear. Click on the arrow to reply to that particular post. The person's name should appear in your texting box with an @ at the front of it. Leave one space between the person's name & your response then click the 'update' button when you're done. Only those who are following you will see what you typed & only those following both of you will be able to follow the conversation. (ok so if you open the home pages of two people chatting you can get the whole thing, but it's a pain to keep track since they both may be tweeting to several people at the same time ) Does this help?

Exactly what I needed, Inky... thanks so much... I guess the reason I didn't see them was because they were invisible!
