Default OUCH!

Was working on my friendship cards for February in the birthday ATC swap. Was using my X-acto blade to remove a couple of stray flecks of embossing powder before I heat set them. Dang blade bit me!

Oh, Renee! Those craft knives can be a beast! J3annin3 encouraged me to change my blades on a frequent basis as they do dull rather quickly. A sharp blade is so much easier to work with.

Oh no, Renee, blood is only used as an embellishment at All Hallows Eve. And while we want you to get into your creating, that is taking it a bit far.
I'm perfectly fine waiting for you to heal so you can create unwounded.
Take care of your finger & heal quickly. Sending positive thoughts and healing white light for you. Ratty Hugs

Gosh, everybody, thanks for all the good thoughts. ♥ It's not all that bad of a cut. I've kept it tightly bandaged. After my shower later today, I'll make sure it's completely dry, before dh applies a bit of Super Glue to keep it closed. I'm still able to work on my cards, so most of them should get mailed tomorrow.

I made the executive decision last night to not use blood as an embellishment, as the color might not coordinate with the colors on the cards. Alsmouse, your suggestion of blood being more appropriate for All Hallow's Eve was amusing, but I won't be deliberately cutting myself.

I also want to get a card & ATC mailed out to Toonces, whose birthday is approaching. Back to work.

So happy you didn't seriously hurt yourself and that your cards have no remnants of blood stains on them.
