Talking

Found another project where I used CF. See the woodgrain area? That was done by layering 3 pieces of CF & incising the grain with a blade into the top layer of foam.

I inked the foam & stamped on Kraft paper. Neat thing about 'incised cf' is that you can get great detail because the incised 'lines' spead so nicely. With a bit of practice you can actually 'draw' with the blade to make your own designs easily.

FWIW. See the dove with flowers on the project? That's acetate that I colored with markers. I posted it on my 'acetate' thread.

Here are some pics of my experiments with craft foam, notice that just like when you embossing paper you get two images in one - front and back sides.

Thumbs up

Excellent, Stacy! YES! When you put (heat-softened) CF in an EF, you do, indeed, get 2 different stamps! WTG & TFS!

Wink

I did a swap/challenge on another site. We had to create 'medals'.

I used craftfoam as my primary material for the stamped parts--hanging medal, top bar & dragonfly.

The ribbon (grosgrain) was backed with adhesive paper & run thru an embossing folder (shows up better IRL)

The jump rings were done with 'altered' chenille stems.

First pic is the complete medal. Second is a close-up of the CF 'bar' (nibbled with a snowflake punch). And third is a close-up of the hanging piece (stamp is I Brake For Stamps) & the chenille stem findings.

I'm sure your swap partner was thrilled to receive these.
