Default Copic Markers

Has anyone else noticed that copic markers have DOUBLED in price? I thought they were expensive before... now to get all colors would run you about $2500!

That's cause they suckered you into a new addiction then when you can't 'live without them' they bump the price up. Kinda like a drug dealer but with a much prettier outcome. At least with Copics you don't get severe withdrawals & only mild flashbacks.

yep..thats why i am only buying the cheaper $2.99 cent ones..they do the same thing for me..just not as many colors and only a brush end..but i only use them for coloring so they are the same for me..cheaper is only what i get to buy..but i am telling you..i dont need every color or 4 and 5 of the same tone..just a light and a dark in tones..i can create the others in between

That's why I stuck with colored pencils. They don't dry out either.

I'm with you AQ! Think I'll stick with pencils and/or watercoloring.

I love my Copics. They blend beautifully and don't run when wet. Where I have seen them the price seems to have gone up about 50 cents each for the sketch...

Colored pencils don't run when wet...in fact, if I ever found my colored pencils running at all that would mean they had grown legs to run off!

They're running about $8 per pen now... ack! Even at the old price, I thought it was outlandish... I bought about a dozen of the Ciaos in the colors I liked but even they're about $6 now. I didn't see the point of having a dozen of "about the same color"... but I'm not into blending I guess. I like the idea that they won't fade like water markers (hopefully) but didn't love that they'd bleed through most papers and the copic paper was so expensive.

I agree alsmouse, and I do love mine (when I get to use them). I haven't bought any more since they bumped the price up though. I have tried other brands and still go back to the Copics.
