Thanks JeanneLee. Love your kitty. He looks like a long haired version of mine.

The background stamp (harlequins) was spritzed with water, then stamped on to the dry inked background.

This is one of the ATCs I made for the ATC Technique swap, which features water stamping. After the background dried, I stamped the black image, then smeared Versamark over it all and embossed with clear embossing powder.

That background stamp really works well in this technique. Have you tried some other large stamps?
