another easy idea

Fold your cardstock at a bunch of odd directions and angles and then run it thru a crimper. Your crimp lines/texture will start and stop at all kinds of different directions

I have done that with my crimper and it is quite an interesting effect. I need to put that thing to better use, come to think of it.

You can also run your card stock thru' the crimper several times, feeding it from different angles to create a leathery distressed look as well as peel the paper apart for a faux fabric look after doing the above mentioned distressing.
