If you look in my gallery you'll see several samples of stamped candles I've created. I really, really like doing this and have a hard time deciding whether to add more bling (glitter, fancy brads, etc.) or whether to keep it simple.

I'm attemping to do tapers, as a donation, for folks to include in some of the greens centerpieces that sell at the church holiday craft fair - I'm finding those tricky because they melt faster than the pillar candles. I used LasImpPan's Pine Swag and really really like how it came out in real life; don't have a good spot in the entire house to take a good pic of it but I tried.

Your candles seem really nice the way you have presented them in the gallery peicesandpom, classy. What kind of design are you considering Taniwolf?

This actually is very simple to do:
Stamp your subject on tissue paper (the kind that goes in boxes with shirts, etc), color CAREFULLY and trim close to image.
Position image on candle
Make collar of wax paper (CutRite or one of the better ones) pull tight against the stamped tissue paper, heat with heat gun until you can see the image change and tissue paper seems to disappear. Carefully take off the collar, making sure all the edges of the stamped image are imbedded in the candle.
To "buff" the candle smooth, use an old nylon stocking

I have also used the top ply from commercial napkins and it works well
Favorite, though: carefully tape a piece of tissue paper to card stock, smoothing out edges. PRINT on your printer anything you want, eg, kids pictures. Carefully remove tissue, trim design, and adhere to candle as above. A real winner

I brayered peacock Brilliance Ink on white tissue paper and let it dry - pretty much saturated the tissue paper. Then I stamped my image with chalk ink and let that dry. I used my deckle scissors around the edge of the image making sure I had a border of the Brilliance Ink. Then I used wax paper, heat tool and nylon stocking. Voila! The glitter of the Brilliance Ink background is embedded in the light blue candle with the chalked ink image. Can you tell I love sparkle? This really shimmers nicely.

I'll try to get the picture up one of these evenings; hopefully I can do some editing of the picture so you can see the contrast.

This is a technique I'm not familiar with! Thanks for the instructions on how to do it! Sound like it would be perfect for gifts.
