Anyone up for another ATC swap with a halloween theme?

Yes Ma'am!!! I think about a quarter of the many stamps I just acquired are Halloween or could used for Halloween.

Maybe, if my Halloween images arrive in time (I'm in Canada and shipping can take what feels like an eternity at times!)...

Do you have an idea of # of ATC's we'd need to do and the due date? Are they all getting mailed to the hostess to swap out, or would we send them direct to our partner(s)?

I've never done an ATC before, but I think I can work with that size. Hmmm....

Count me in, count me in! I have an image that I love and haven't been able to justify using it this fall since I'm working on items for Nov/Dec craft fairs!

I'd like to see how many want to participate before setting a specific number but something manageable like 4 -6 probably.

That's why I decided to ask early, I knew some would be getting new images they'd want to use and I wanted us to have plenty of time to make them, send them off and hopefully still get them back by Halloween.

I will probably have everyone send to me along with a SASE for their return if that is okay, cheaper postage than everyone having to send to several different people. Maybe if others are interested we can take turns playing swap hostess for ATC's, that way one person doesn't get burnt out with making sure to get them all in, divvied up and mailed back out.

Question....re this ATC Swap
Are you asking for production work all the same as in identical or a series or could they all be different within the theme? Just asking because the mind races and finds temptation to play

It's still looking like a 4 or 5 ATC swap at this time based on the number of people signed up, will let everyone know for sure on Monday.

I don't know about everybody else but I'm having a really hard time deciding which stamps to use. I want to use them all and an ATC is just too darn small.:eyeroll:

This ATC trade is now closed.

Thanks to all who signed up to trade, if you missed this one keep checking back as we will have another swap very soon.

All participants who signed up need to send me 5 like ATC's, if you are keeping one for yourself remember to make 6 but don't send it to me ;) . Be sure to give them a title, number them ( 1 of 5 etc...) and sign and date them. Sleeves are not necessary until you receive back from me. It would only make them heavier and more bulky, resulting in additional postage costs.

Please include a SASE for me to return your ATC's back to you in. Cat stamper and I are making extras to round out the numbers, thanks Cat Stamper for the help with this.

Please have your ATC's to me no later than Oct 20th so I will have time to divide them up and get them back to everyone before Halloween.

Hi Stacy,
My ATCs are going into the mail to you tomorrow! They're coming from Canada, so allow a bit of extra time, but (barring a postal error) they should be there in tons of time for the deadline.

I had fun making these, thanks for hosting! Looking forward to seeing a sampling of what others are creating for Halloween!

Hey! Nobody said overachievers could play!

Yep! That's the rush I thrive on.

Way back when in college, I got voted "most all-nighters" by my dorm floor. Now days I'm up most of the night anyway, but when it comes to deadlines I'm usually up all the night before so I can get it all done & out the door in the am. Then I come grab some zzzs. :D It's supposed to start raining on Sunday & not stop all week, so I figure that's a good day to lock my self in my craft room & get all my swaps done so I can mail them on Monday the 1st.

My demo group doesn't call ourselves "Wing & A Prayer Stampers" for nothing! :))

I know you are mostly kidding, but honestly I mailed them early since I am in Canada. Stacy wants them in her hands by the 20th, and since I'm dealing with two different (and, ahem... incompetent) postal systems between here and there, I need to allow at least two weeks for them to get to her. Mailing them tomorrow gives me three, so that's only a week early. I don't want you guys waiting for your swaps until November just because I'm in Canada.

And no way could I have done them all in one day. I don't get that much stamping time in a single day, and I'm not a night owl, so slow and steady wins the race.

Other things, I procrastinate on. I wrote a lot of term papers from 2-6am on the mornings they were due. (If I type fast, I'll still have time to shower before class!) But if I've committed to a swap and don't have it done a bit early, it just makes me nervous. Sort of the opposite effect that having a hobby is supposed to give me, you know?

But if you guys love that last minute rush, have at it! :D

Going all spidey sounds sort of life changing- Like becoming a vegan or taking a vow of silence....!
I'm really curious now. ;)

Seriously, it's great that you are so close to getting them in the mail. And to have extras! I'm envyous. Dosen't it feel nicely virtuous to be getting it done? I vaguely remember that feeling. I've had several unexpected and unexplainable delays. Still there is a reasonable amount of time left to keep at them. And if nothing else, like ArtKar and Inky Wiskers; i'll could go for the rush of the last minute rush?

Hum, some folks are already done? I haven't even checked to see if the main image I want to use is ATC-sized or not, let alone what I'll do if I have to only use a portion of it. . .

Got some cards for the craft fair done and tried my first set of coasters, tho'! Pictures to come later. . .have stamping club tonight.

Well you have not seen them yet...lol...I did challenge myself but in most unexpected ways...Deep thought, editing, less or more...should or shouldn't eye...that type of stuff. It was fun especially to see the production work all over my desk...That part I enjoyed then comes the anxiety of wondering if they pass muster, if people "get it" etc...more deep stuff...hehehe but that is just me.

I guess the swap host had better get in gear and get hers done too :o .

Remember to take a pic or scan before you send them off. Just don't upload them to the gallery yet, more fun to open your envie of goodies this way. Of course the suspense will be killing us all by the time I say they are on their way back out but that's a good kind of stress. :D

Spideycindy
10-09-2007, 11:34 AM
Mine probably will not go postal until next week...I have that last 10% to do and it brings me to a question...signature back or front? Do we need to list stamp credits on back as well? I am rusty so the questions I ask may be ones others are thinking about too?
Spideycindy
PS...disfunctional scanner so unable to post...will try to take digital picture and hope I can download it and maybe go from there...? Not so savvy on the computer and mostly have to fight my way on at home due heavy on-line gamers of the "WOW" kind at our house.

Listing the stamp & supply info in the primary comment box when posting the photo/scan of your project is another way to let everybody know what you used from what companies. Even writing tiny, I don't always have enough room on the back of an ATC to fit all the info. :D

 Mine arrived on Monday! Thanks all for the wonderful ATC treats! Lots of spooky delights!

I'll scan and upload my ATC today.

I received ATCs from:
j3annin3, spideycindy, piecesandpom, stampinstacy, XrayAmy, theleafstudio, artkar, inky whiskers, jhitchin, and one I can't quite make out the signature on. (Last one has a raven, tombostone with RIP behind three pumpkins, and a spider on it.)
If any of you would like me to get your cards uploaded, just let me know.

Hope everyone has a spooky Halloween!

Wow these ATCs are awesome! The biggest thrill they make my Halloween!
I am very proud to have my first RSC collection of awesome ATCs.
To any of you lurkers out there and you know who you are...please don't be afraid to give it a try the swapping is so much fun and this group is very talented!

I uploaded three of the ATCs into the swap gallery, and I know a couple of others have been uploaded there too... so if you haven't already, go take a look! (Whether you were swapping or just lurking!)

:D
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Could you please upload mine? I haven't had a chance to reinstall my scaner software & see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks,
ArtKar

Hi ArtKar - it's in the gallery now. Sorry it took me a couple of days to get to it, busy around here.
