A friend in the UK was asking if anyone had heard of the "XCut Impress" machine, it die cuts, perfs and embosses. She read something about it being released in late August but not much detail, this was on a UK craft site called DOCrafts. It is going to be much cheaper that many of the current ones available now and she is retired with limited funds. The price is appealing but she is worried about waisting her money if it doesn't work well. Thanks,

oh yeah I read that on the same site, but haven't heard anything else though. I thought it was pretty nifty myself from reading it.

Hi from a new member to the site. I am replying to the posts about the X-Cut Impress die cutting machine. I got mine yesterday and a few dies. I think it's wonderful and am very impressed with it.
Value for money is great as well when you look at the other products on the market.
I find also that my quickutz dies will work in it, it says on a website to use the 2 blue plates and black pad but i do a blue plate, quickutz die, card or paper (be sure to turn it design side down to meet the quickutz die foam side up, so your letters go the right way round when they're punched) and then use the gray plate as the sandwich, then feed it through the machine and it works great for me.

Thank you very much for replying, I will pass all your info on to my friend. I'm sure she will appreciate the how to as well. Fliss and I keep telling her she needs to join us here but she is still hesitant, maybe this will help convince her to join up.

Saw it and their other products. I'd have to say Tonic Studios and X-Cut are related somehow (US vs UK). X-Cut also has all the punches and border system Tonic has, just different colors. Wonder if Tonic will offer the die cutter in the US. Will keep an eye out for it. Looks good.

I did a Google search on the XCut Impress and it took me to a couple of sites with information including the fact that the machine is apparently not new but is an old die cut machine with a new name. Unfortunately, I can't remember the original name.

The old name for the X-Cut Impress was the Double Do die cutter.
