I have put this swap on hold until this January 2011 due to feedback from folks. Will open it up then! :wave:
I am interested in trying out something new. I want to experiment for the first time with slide mailers. VLV has them on sale now and has free shipping too until the end of Oct, so now is the time.
The swap is for one slide mailer (the kind that holds 2 slides like here http://www.vlvstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=slide+mailer). The theme is 'my fantasy life'. For example, when I was a kid I wanted to live with gnomes, or some people want to be in the movies, or maybe something you have always wanted to do like go up in a hot air balloon, or live in a Steampunk world. So the slide mailer should tell a story about your fantasy life. Let me know if this doesn't make sense!
I would like to encourage everyone to use at least one stamp in your collection that you haven't used yet (I know most of us swear to others --read spouse-- that we actually need and have used all of our stamps). Please use at least 3 stamped images (you can use more if you want).
The swap will close on October 30th. I will draw swap buddies and post them here on the first post. You will have the whole month of Nov to work on it (due to the upcoming holidays and possible need to purchase a slide mailer). You will mail your item directly to your swap buddy by Nov. 30th. This is open to RSC members only.
