CLOSED.....[/B]COLOR="DarkOrange"][/COLOR]ok, here is the EASY - HALLOWEEN THEME ATC SWAP, you can do any technique you wish..we just want you to have have lots of SCARY fun..THIS SWAP WILL HAVE A CLOSING DATE OF OCTOBER 1st 2010...this way we all will know how many artist we need to plan for.. artist will need to mail them and have them to me by [U]OCTOBER 16th 2010 so i can mix them up and have them to you by october the 20 to 22nd, some peoples mail takes longer to get there..i am on the east coast. I hope you all take the time to join us here for this one..if i left anything out...just hollar at me..thanks
ATC'S NEEDED: if fewer than 8 artist show up..we will make 1 atc for each artist.
IF 8 or more artist show up we will make 8 ATC'S and get back 8 atc's..you can have them all 1 design or you can mix them up as you wish..this is your halloween tribute..have fun..
for all the artist that sends their atc's in a card collector sheet..i will send you one back..for those who dont want that , i will send them back to you in the manner you send yours to me..hope this helps everyone..thanks

Hey all, It's been a little trying here latley for me.. and I wanted to keep busy so I made a lot of halloween atc's. My atc's are not amazing works of art, they are child like & fun. I am sure I didn't work any harder on them then you all did yours. Making them did give me some relaxation & peace of mind. so thanks for letting me share that with you all. I can't wait to see what everyone's created !!

hey wolf..i got your atc's...i swear..i know swearing is bad but sometimes i just accidently do it...lol..but you work harder on your envies than anybody i know..i dont even do that..wow ya'll it was great..i loved it and so did my postman..he said that it really made his day..wolf..you will have to tell me did you use paint or were they smooched with color..i say paint..but i dont know..please do tell me..either one..it was a lot of work..i am taking it to the art store tomarrow so others can gaulk over it....hey miss H. - yes atc's are great..i use them for the card fronts on my regular size cards. they are so nice to have different cards from other people..and i always save my friends atc's..that way i have all their techniques in a binder..and it gives me great ideas for card themes and techniques later..they are kinda like an art library..i would never let my friends atc's go...but i do make my own to put on card fronts..

Yes Inkkyjo I used paint for the objects, 1st I stripled various Adirondack ink colors over the envie, let dry,then painted the critters on top. Glad you liked it :)

ok..mrs h...i had a friend who made a coffee table top out of various atc's..how great that was..a coffee table art piece...after she layed her atc's all about..her husband poured some kind of glaze that got hard and made a see thru shiny top..really cool..i bet she still has that table

Whoa - how cool is that!!! I wonder what he used to seal it. Ya, I bet she still has it too - wouldn't want to part with that! I often thought about getting a piece of that really heavy glass - the kind on glass tabletops - and putting the atc's under the glass. The problem was that many of the atc's I choose had embellishments that wouldn't work under glass. But her idea would work - awesome!!!

Know what works great - the Martha Stewart storage box - the kinda shallow one for 12x12 paper. The cards sit on thier edge so you just flip through them. I rotate my atc's so it's really easy to flip through and choose the next bunch to put out. What's super fun is finding one I had forgotten about - it's like brand new again! lol!

This is my wall display - I change out the atc's every year. I LOVE atc's!!! lol!

That table sounds really great, I sure it's a conversation piece ! I think I'm going to get on of those multi sectioned picture frames & fill them with some ATC's.

A couple of years ago, I was part of a "Twelve Days of Christmas" swap. Each swapper made 12 giftie-type stamped items and sent it to the moderator. The moderator then sent packages with one each of the items to each participant. Very fun. Anyway, one of the items I received was an ATC holder. The swapper had taken lots of the clear baseball card holders with holes punched in the side and put them on big rings. In addition, she put three very sturdy pieces of cardstock or chipboard at various places on the rings to help the thing stand up. She had decorated the cardstock/chipboard as ATCs themselves. It is a very nice way to display lots of ATCs. I'll take a picture of it if I think about it.

Because if I do it on a Saturday, and I get to the PO past 11:30, it is closed, and there is not a way to weigh it and figure out how much postage to put on it...so I have done plan B (mailing separately) for the past two times in order to not delay my ATC's any more timewise...because I can put regular postage stamps on a card weight/size envelope as long as it is not bulky according to the PO...

And poor Jo has to suffer through extra envelopes due to all the drama in my crazy life..sighhhhhhhhhh...

I used a stencil for the shape Sassy, Then painted the details/decorations with acrylics and added touches of gel pen here & there to highlight. most of the bats/spider s /stars were stamps but looked flat & pale once I started painting it. so I ended up painting over most of them, then it balanced out.
Ty when I started making ATC's (not long ago) I thought you designed the backs also...I didn't know... so I started that way & it kinda stuck, now I do all the backs...lol

Thanks Sassy - the edging was done with my scissor. :) Hold paper firmy and scrape the edge. I open the scissor all the way and use the inner most edge.

I just got my ATC's a little while ago. Can I just say that this was just about the best swap EVER!!

The envelope is amazing, Inkkyjo. I am so going to start decorating my envelopes...what fun to get mail like that! And then there are the ATC's. Wow! Everyone really outdid themselves this time. Sorry to be so late posting.I am having bunion surgery this friday,and I have a sick cat,so have been running back and forth to the vet,and to my doc,for pre-surgery testing.Just haven't had time to read emails.This was a fun swap,and I love all my ATC's.While I am home recuperating next week,I hope to come up with a good display idea.Right now they are all in a binder,but I'd like to do somoe kind of frame that I can rotate the Atc's in. Any ideas from the group? I don't have a lot of wall space.

Hey there! I just got a great ATC display unit! Check out 7Gypsies new printer trays! I got 2 one for verticals and one for horizontals! Put a bit of poster stickit behind and they can be changed daily if you want!
