Ok here it is September already and I received some really great ideas for card making! Would anyone like to play this month? Here are some ideas:

We could make this an open Mystery Topic Card Month and that means you simply sign up and say you want to make a card and DON'T TELL US what the theme is and we can keep sign ups open through the holiday and then learn who we send to and get a card made and mailed by the end of the month!
Since it is open topic you can start your card as soon as you wish and just learn who to mail it to shortly after the holiday. So what do you say? Wanna play with some new techniques and brighten someones day?
Sign ups are open now and will close September 6th.
I will be out of town. Heck lets make it even easier and say that we mail to the person below and the last person to sign up mails to the first one on the list? How does that sound?

This swap will close at midnight Pacific Standard Time and if nobody else wants to play you will mail the card, theme of your choice from above options to the person below you or the top person on the list hopefully before the end of the month but many of us are pushing to the last final days!:)) Thanks all for those playing so far! Have fun and enjoy your surprise card when it arrives please post and don't forget to scan it and put it in the swaps album so everyone can enjoy your work!

Teena you are too funny and yes you picked the correct person to send your card to.

That is totally up to you. Some folks sign and mail others leave blank so the recipient can use it for someone special if they want. You are the card maker and you get to decide either way no wrong answers on this one.
Be sure to sign it that you are the artist and it is kind of nice to put info on the back about what stamps/techniques you used! I usually sign the back of the card for that.
Sometimes the inside of the card can be a wonderful surprise of the theme carried inside the card or a wonderful stamp or saying? You are the artist and make your heart sing!~

Inkkyjo thanks so much for saying so. I enjoy making cards and some are easier than others. It is all so much fun to try to put a little something special into each card. I enjoy the mental as much as the physical when I work on a card.

Stamping is very therapeutic for me. It's a relatively inexpensive hobby as I can buy a few pieces at a time without sending our budget into oblivion and beyond! It's also very rewarding to hear 'Oh! I just LOVE it!' That really makes my day, if not my week!

Spidey, I'm just looking forward to getting something in my mailbox other than circulars and bills! I know you'll get a card to me. So, no worries, okay?

Driver's side door on car not latching properly so off to the Kia dealer for me after work tomorrow!

Hey everyone I have not even thot about October yet even tho it is nearly on top of me :))
We have had a hot spell and with work and some other obligations happening I have had to scramble to get it all together. I am working on my card today but it may not go postal until Friday or so....:o

Does anyone have some good ideas floating around? If so I have no objections to you posting and setting this swap up. As you can see it is easy and the only thing you need to do is post ideas, vote or no and pick partners to play! If anyone is inspired to do this please help an old spidey out!:wave:

Hey I know I will love it! Receiving any card from someone passionate about card making is always a thrill. So long as you had some fun too?
My card is rather plain but has a different (for me) lighting and I hope it turns out. AQ it is always rather scary when trying something out of the comfort zone and sharing it for the first time. I am sorry for being tardy. I have an autistic son and often life gets unexpected and interesting as well. All is good but the hectic nature of some days wipes out my me time. I am still working on it and hope it can go postal soon. So far so good. My dh says after I finish the pile of dishes he has no problem with my playing today!:))

cindy i know how life can get crazy with kids.. we have six between the 2 of us and there is never a dull day with five girls and 1 boy.. 30 yr, 27 , 19 ,17, 10 and 7 yrs ....then i have both my parents and brother to care for tooo
... so stamping is my release time theraphy time ... MY time lol the only prob is it takes up the kithchen table as i do not have a craft room till my 17 yr old grads and moves out ...lol who know when that will be ... but i love it

Don't you just love what stamping can do! It truly saves my sanity and helps me keep track of myself. I guess we often have to wear so many hats that the outlet for me is a true saving grace!
Glad everyone is having a great time. Even tho my month was a race horse one I have enjoyed the planning and creating of this monthly card.

I received some excellent ideas for October. I'll post them so you all can ponder it...I rather liked the open choice option. How do all of you feel about that?

Thanks it was fun this month. Speaking of this month. I have your card done as of last night it was drying and I made the envy today. It will go postal on Monday and I hope you will enjoy it. I like the outside. The inside in my humble opinion does not really match but it conveys the message. I enclosed a little something as a thanks for your kindness and patience.
Let me know when it arrives and I will post it in the Swap/exchange album.

the African Queen your card did indeed go postal today and I enjoyed making it very much. I am most fond of the front and less fond of the choice of paper on the inside but once down it stayed put.

oh i am so happy they got to you ok ... it was the big one i was not sure about but here are the cards for all to see ... i have to admit i seen these on youtube and just followed there lead ... it was fun ... thinking of doing the popcicles for the kids valintines this yr..... we did cell phones a few yrs ago and used the candy dots on the paper for the buttons .. they loved it ... enjoy

You may have seen on other threads here that we had a very dear friend to pass away this past week...plus I was out of work sick on Monday also...and I have not been on the computer since the weekend, believe it or not!

Your card WILL go out by Saturday of this week, and you will have an additional card plus a little surprise for my being so slow.

WOW! I just got Spidey's card in today's mail and I am very very impressed (no pun intended)!

You are a master masker! I LOVE the card! You did an outstanding job on both the cover and the interior! We are truly our own worst critics!

DH took the camera to work with him and it ran out of power because I forgot to shut it off when I uploaded the pic for my nephew's card. And now the camera sits in one of the work trucks in a location that we will have to visit this afternoon. So, as soon as I am able, I will upload pics.

And the envelope just befits the card so well. Where did you locate such an envelope, Spidey?

Thank you I found the cardstock and one of those Tuesday Morning stores by chance. I loved it and it seemed to fit so make the envy with a template. Glad you liked it!
