Hello All,
With the New Year we start a new round of color challenge tags.
This year's change-up will be to add techniques to the colors
chosen. Now to keep it a little bit easier, the colors will be
for three (3) months but the techniques will change each month. The tag guidelines for shape & size will remain the same as in previous year's CCT swaps.
The techniques will have minimal costs of less than $15 each month. Most
of the techniques will use items you already have. I will be
listing the colors, then the supply list then the techniques.
Some of you may want to put some of the supplies on your holiday
wish list. I have looked around & priced much of the supplies so
have an idea of the pricing for most areas except overseas.
Colors for each quarter:
Supplies needed for first quarter: pan/tray dedicated for art, dish washing liquid, acrylic paints, re-inkers, unscented shaving cream, paint stir stick, paper towels, drinking straw, plastic knife, card stock, glossy card stock.
January--bubbles
This is not a new technique, but great fun to play with and
use as backgrounds. Warning: this technique gets messy! Protect your
clothes.
You will need some acrylic paints, dish washing liquid and glossy card stock.
Squirt some acrylic paint into a disposable cup. Next add a squirt of
dish washing liquid then some water. (Experiment with the amounts you
use for more intense or subtle color.) Use your straw to mix the
ingredients. Blow lots of bubbles so they overflow the cup. You can
bring the card stock down onto the bubbles letting them pop on the
card stock, or you can let the bubbles flow over the cup onto paper.
Do NOT inhale bubbles! If desired, create another batch of bubbles
with a different color and add to your card stock.
February--shaving cream
You will need some acrylic paints or re-inkers, paint stir stick,
unscented shaving cream, butter knife, pie pan or baking sheet
dedicated for art, paper towels and white card stock.
Create a pile of unscented shaving cream on a pie pan or baking sheet.
Pick one-three colors of re-inkers or acrylic paints. Place about 3 drops
of each color onto the pile of shaving cream. Using a straight edge
cut through the ink & shaving cream, making swirls. Make a few swirls
or make a lot, it's up to you. Do not fold in the color, it needs to
sit on top of the shaving cream. Lay your card stock on the shaving
cream & smoosh it in from the center outward. Starting in the middle
avoids air bubbles. Pick up card stock by one corner & place on a damp
proof surface. With spatula remove remaining shaving cream back to original
pile. Use a paper towel to wipe the card stock dry, front & back, let dry. When dry, it may have warped, you may need to place it under a heavy book to flatten out.
Repeat steps again for more fun backgrounds.
March--twist & shout
You will need some acrylic paints and glossy card stock.
On protected surface, lay one piece of glossy card stock down, glossy
side up, apply acrylic paints in a random pattern. Lay another piece
of glossy card stock, glossy side down, on top of paints. smoosh, turn,
twist, & lift. Peel apart & lay paint side up to dry.
I will post the remaining months techniques & supply lists soon but I wanted each of you to have a chance to add any missing supplies to your Holiday Wish lists.
Ahhhh....just realized the colors were for the quarter instead of the month...that's a plus...thanks!

Good question, teena. I can't remember if we are supposed to or not so we'll have to wait for alsmouse's reply.
Grr! Gave eldest the paper pack with these strong first three months colors so this first month is going to be a 'get-as-close-as-I-can' with the supplies I have on hand.
Please sign me up for all three months. I've missed doing these!

I've added all of you to the players listing. We will be using the 3 colors listed so we can focus on the techniques. I figured that if we have to focus on techniques that having the color palette limited to 3 would keep our stress levels down as we try new things. I hope that helps. ~C8>

I have been out of the mix for awhile so have to ask the silly questions....do we use one of the listed colors as the tag base or use a white tag and go from there? No stamping is involved just the technique? If so then we could use a full sheet of paper 8.5 x 11 to implement the technique and then cut up the tags?
Ya know I wanna play just have to ask as I have been work over loaded this last month and need to play to get the kinks out and awaken the muse again.
Also at this time of the year my studio is freezing with a capitol FREEZING so I need to be efficient with my time and stay healthy...lol

As far as I know, the neutral rule still applies. So if you think the technique requires a neutral under the colors to work, then go pick your neutral. If you don't think it does, then don't use one. (room to experiment!) Most of the techniques we'll be doing will work well being done on a full sheet of cardstock then cut into tags. Just don't forget to apply the colors, whatever the technique, all the way to the edges of the cardstock sheet or your tags may have uneven color distribution on some tags tag. i.e. yellow & orange, but no red on some tags. (more room to experiment!)
A little stampng is always nice since we are Rubber Stamp Chat, but as you may have noticed over the years, pretty much anything goes as long as the colors get used & the tag size is consistant. Ms. Mouse & I aren't going to turn into you over to the Swap Police 'cuz you had a creative moment when making your tags & may have fudged a parameter in your quest for artistic fulfilment.
Oh! Pigment ink refills (both regular & craft) can also be used where acrylic paint is listed for some of this quarter's techniques (tho' I don't think I mix the 2, just use one or the other). Just use what you have where you can. You could also try colored metallic inks in your explorations of these techniques as many of them are opaque. Once you try these techniques, you're going to want to keep playing with them to see where your Muse will lead you! :D

Inkkyjo, we certainly understand; family comes first. Hoping things are going as well as can be expected for you.
:)) I don't have reinkers for all my stamp pads so I guess I'm going to have to see if eldest DD has her acrylic paints here or in her dorm room. . .I'll make do. And I'm glad the neutral rule still holds; lots of thinking to do for these tags.

Inkyjo, We understand that Family comes first, so take all the time you need with Dad. The good thing with these swaps is that it is easy to take a break if something happens & then pick it up later. And if you want to play along at home to keep your hands busy, super. You don't have to do the swap unless you want to. Hugs to you & Dad.
As for the stamping on this year's tags. If it works for what you want, go for it. This year is dedicated to the colors & the techniques. No added 4th color, no strict guidelines, we are just looking for you to try colors out of your usual palette. The only "got to's" are the right tag size, the monthly technique & using the colors for that quarter.
To economize, feel free to use full 8.5 x 11 sheets for the techniques & cut them down to fit the tag sizes. There will no 'swap police' stopping by to stop you. HTH

Ok so stamping is also involved not just the technique only. I was thinking that this would give us all great backgrounds for future playing if we did not stamp but would feel like samplers and less like a finished piece of art.
I shall need to go look at my stash and get back to you. If I have things that can work I will give you a shout out. Beings I am newly unemployed and have just signed up for unemployment I have to work this all out.;)

Well, as for price spent for supplies...
I spent a whopping $1.93 for three bottles of acrylic paint...(mine has pretty much dried up...it's been a while since I painted anything)...
And I have straws...
And I have dish washing liquid...
And I purchased a set of 12 cards/envelopes for regular price of $4.98 or less...glossy of course....as my AC Moore did not have glossy paper...
BUT...I had a Michaels half off coupon that AC's let me use....
So I have spent a whopping $4.50 for the entire technique...and I will have envelopes left to use on something else...and will have cards to use for another month's technique for glossy paper...
I know it is a shame to cut up cards, but it is still cheaper than the actual paper would have been...
Our Dollar Tree here carries glossy photo paper...but I was afraid the technique would not work on that....
Anybody have a clue if it would work like glossy scrapbook paper?
Thanks!

Also...another general question...
In making the tags, can we make the actual tag one of the colors of cardstock, and then use the glossy technique sample in some way on the tag, or does the actual technique sample have to be the complete tag size?

Our Dollar Tree here carries glossy photo paper...but I was afraid the technique would not work on that....
Anybody have a clue if it would work like glossy scrapbook paper?
Maybe? I've tried a few techniques on glossy photo paper to see if I could make scrapbook safe stamped elements. (Mini lecture moment: regular glossy cardstock is highly alkaline & just as bad in it's own way for your chemically developed photos as highly acidic materials. Tho' it's less of an issue with digital photos as they're printed, not dipped.) That said, the photo paper absorbed the ink much faster than glossy cardstock usually does & the ink dried with more of a semi-gloss finish tho' the paper was glossy. I say you should try a piece & see how it does! You could discover a whole new perspective on these techniques!
Also...another general question...
In making the tags, can we make the actual tag one of the colors of cardstock, and then use the glossy technique sample in some way on the tag, or does the actual technique sample have to be the complete tag size?
Yes, you can do both. Often one layer of cardstock doesn't give the tags enough body & they can warp or get easily bent. Glossy cardstock usually isn't more than 65lbs making it on the light side. Also a little border of color helps bring out the colors in the technique piece. It really depends on what YOU think looks best!
More P.S. Tips: 1) The shaving cream technique can be done on either glossy or matte paper (regular white or vanilla cardstock i.e. SU! Whisper White & Very Vanilla are good examples & I've used both for shaving cream before.
2) Liquid food coloring (from the baking aisle in the grocery store) can be used for both the shaving cream & bubbles techniques if you don't have ink refills or paint & have a tight budget. Who doesn't have a couple of those little vials tucked away in the back of their baking supplies?

I was looking more for a technique only tag study to warm up the muse. Somehow doing my own thing would not feel equal to someone wanting to do a technique and finished stamp art piece with it.
I may just parallel play along and do technique only and share/post my adventures. I am not sure I am ready for finished art tags right now.

You don't HAVE to do anything with the tags you don't want to do, Spidey!
If anybody wants to KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetheart) this swap & just focus on the techniques...OK!
If anybody wants to make 'finished' tags with colored layers, stamping & other artsy bits...OK!
Ms. Mouse & I are fine with either approach to participating. All we ask from this year's players is that you use the colors & techniques listed for the months you're participating and send in tags that are 4.25" x 2.75" with the corners clipped & a hole between the clipped corners. (the basic tag size & shape we've done since the beginning) Add your name & supply list to the back & you're done! (ok, a SASE is good to include too  )
All the other info (ideas, suggestions etc) we've given is just that...info. If it's useful for you, great! If it's not, then ignore it.
I know trying new things can be a teensy bit scary, but trust us when we tell you that 1) the techniques we'll be doing this year don't require an art degree & 2) they're really fun & messy like finger painting for grown-ups!
The more players we have, the more inspiration we all get for our efforts! :D

I am up for technique only. Thinking that I am primarily working on background only tags to be used or inspired for future projects. My biggest worry would be as I mentioned that someone spent hours working on a stamp assignment over the top and receive from me only a technique tag. Now I am not saying that I would not be working hard to get interesting techniques but they would not be equal. That being said I am in if nobody objects to what I contribute.

Some of these are going to create spectacular backgrounds and then a stamped image on top in a neutral would finish them off. I don't think we need to be too fussy - I'm thinking simply.

The actual technique should be the background? Or could the background be cardstock, with a punched part of the actual technique and a stamped image on that?
Somebody rephrase please...lol.

I chatted w/Ms. Mouse last night & we discussed the various confusions that have been posted. Lemme'splain:
Here are the minimum requirements to participate in this swap this year:
1) you must use the 3 colors listed for the quarter
2) you must do the technique listed for the month you sign up for
3) your tags must conform to the swap standard of 4.25" x 2.75" with the corners clipped & a plain .25" hole as per the directions (pm me if you'd like a diagram w/instruction for making the tags &/or making your own tag template)
4) on the back of each tag you must attach a list of what you used on your tags, your name, the month etc. Here's an example:
September 2009
slate blue/raspberry/apricot
Shaving Cream technique

Not everybody includes this much info (& that's fine) & I have included materials that aren't on the required list so you can see what it looks like if you decide to include more than just the basics. I type my list of in Excel, shrink it down to 7 pnt font, copy the info to fill the page, print, cut apart & glue or tape them to the back of each tag. Other regular tag swappers do simular lists, some on large sticker labels & some on copy paper. Some also include stamping or color on the info piece to match the tag colors. Some just hand write the basic info on the backs. We ask that you include the info in some form so the others know what you used & don't swamp you with questions. Some of us also include this info when we upload our tags to the gallery.
5) a SASE with four 44 cent or forever stamps (roughly $1.50 covers return mailing) so we can send your swapped out tags back to you. Some players are gracious & send extra postage to cover any short falls. Alsmouse & I save the extra stamps in a baggy that we pass between us depending on who's running the swap at the time.
These are the required parameters for the tag swap in 2010. We're all about color & techniques this year.
If you want to keep it simple & just make tags from the cardstock you did the technique on, slap your list on the backs & send'em in...GREAT! That's all we're asking of you this year.
If you want to add some stamping or a backing layer or a small embellishment...that's good too, but NOT required. If you choose to spiff up your tags with extra effort beyond the technique be aware that not all the tags you get back will have the same amount of effort put into them. I know I'll be adding a smidge of extra effort in the form of a colored cardstock foundation layer under the technique piece & maybe a bit of stamping either on the background or as a small layer, but this is me. I do like Teena's idea of cutting out a shape from the technique piece & putting it on a matching foundation. (I may CASE that one of these months! ) YOU do what YOU want with YOUR tags!
Those of you that have been doing this swap awhile know that the variety of skill & effort used can run the spectrum every month & it's never been an issue. Every tag can teach you something no matter what skill level or effort was used to make it & that's why we've kept this swap going for 2 years...there's ALWAYS something new to learn! :D

Great 'explication!'
The best part of this swap is that we all appreciate each other's choices. And it all goes. We get to appreciate what each other does, support each other as we stretch and have those 'that's-how-they-do-it' moments, and enable each other to take risks if that's what the artist wants to do.

It was always a wonderful source for basics but now...sadly not so much. Is this only California or is it in all Walmart stores?...there is a short row or so of craft paint/jewlery stuff and scant notions not even quilting pins. It's my understanding that it's most everywhere. Youngest DD left a project to the last week of the semester and we may have to take a trip to M's tomorrow afternoon if she can't bring items home to finish up a sculpture project. Tomorrow afternoon and evening are going to be very, very long.
Both of us are hoping eldest will share her stash of acrylic paints with us although I may have to get some of my own to get through all three months.
We both need to get back to work; we keep flip-flopping who is ahead in our post counts!

Walmart is cutting back on their craft section up here too. The only stamps they carry now are Martha's & most of their other paper crafting supplies are from her line too. Throw in some misc. scrapbooking supplies, adhesives, kids crafts & jewelry materials and there you have it. What they do have is still better priced than the same items at a craft store, but very limited in selection.
One 2 oz bottle each of the 3 colors for the quarter should be plenty! We don't seem to be looking at huge #s of tags to be made each month. :D

Hello All,
This swap is now closed. We will need to make 9 tags. The tag math works like this: you make one tag for yourself + the number of tags needed to swap with the other players + 1 tag for X-ray Amy as a thank you giving us RSC + 1 for our mystery swap member. (you'll get any extras of your tag returned in that month's envie)
Please mail them to me, Alsmouse, for the next 3 months. PM me if you need my address. I am asking them to be to me by the end of this month.

This is not a new technique, but great fun to play with and
use as backgrounds. Warning: this technique gets messy! Protect your
clothes.
You will need some acrylic paints, dish washing liquid, a straw and glossy card stock.
One 2 oz bottle each of the 3 colors for the quarter should be plenty! We don't seem to be looking at huge #s of tags to be made each month. :D
If you look at the colors we will be using for the year they are all in very limited color families. You can always get the basics & mix to match the colors for the quarter.

Yes, you can join monthly by the 10th. We just put the info out a quarter at a time so folks can check to see if they need to buy supplies. :D

"I am asking them to be to me by the end of this month."
I would have made that as a quote, but that was a very very long post...lol.

Teena, in the future if you want to use just part of a quote, try this:
hit quote. it will open you in a new message box, then highlight all of the quote you want to NOT use & hit delete. You may have to do it in bits & pieces if you are using many parts of the quote & only need those parts but it will only delete what you highlight. try it & you will see how easy it is to cut those huge quotes down to size. :D

Dumb question here:
Does the color of the dishwashing liquid affect the color of the bubbles?
In other words, if my dishwashing liquid was green, would it make the yellow paint turn blue? Or does the soap in the liquid offset the color?
Told you it was a dumb question...lol.
Not even sure what color mine IS till I look...lol.
Thanks!

Don't know where the acrylic paint stash is so I'm going to have to pick the colors up when we run an errand later today. For once I have the design done in my head but need some supplies to make it happen.
Interesting question about the color of the dishwashing liquid - mine is a very bright yellow!

Does your sink fill up with colored bubbles when you wash the dishes? :))
In theory, the color of your liquid soap should have no effect on your paint or ink. The amount used is small & the pigment in the paint is stronger than the colorant used in most dish soaps. Simple Green might be too strong for this, but your average liquid dishwashing soap should work just fine. :D

Hey Teena - I played around with the bubbles tech back around oct & it didn't affect the color....I used the blue dawn dishsoap on both matte and glossy...don't know about anyother brands though... If that helps at all

I have had dish soap stain some things. I use blue Dawn & was using it to remove food oil from a yellow t-shirt & it left a 'greenish' cast to the spot after washing & drying. I rewashed it after treating with Folex (love that stuff) & it went away. I have since changed to clear Dawn or the very pale scented stuff for laundry needs. ~C8>

It is a carpet stain remover but you can use it on any fabric surface. I get it for all sorts of odd stains but it is great for non-oil based stains in the lauundry. It works super on blood, grass & coffee stains. Even works on wools if you remember to blot not rub. Here is the website:

YIKES...drying time...didn't account for that...grrrrrrr. Am going to just bite the bullet and say these will go postal on Friday. I am just too used to being in that comfy box of ink-to-paper and I forget these things... I can't even use my heat gun, as someone came and helped me de-clutter some stuff and packed my heat gun away in a storage tote and i do not know which tote it is in. If I didn't have to BE at work in 7 hours, and still have to sleep, I could use the hair dryer on these and pray hard...lol. IF the mega snowstorm hits before I can get to the PO on Friday, I will just have to opt out of this swap...because I don't drive on ice/snow...and I so did not want to be late on this one...I really was trying, honest!!! If the folks who helped me with the de-cluttering had picked a different weekend besides LAST weekend to come, these would have been out the door at the first of the week!!! They really meant well, but they got my schedule all out of whack!!! sigh..... And who turns down free help these days? Not me...:) It's just one step closer to my very own craft room! :)
I'll post on Friday and let you know what happened with my tags if not before...

For those of you have had "life" interupt your life, please be aware that the end of month 'deadline' is a goal not requirement. This swap has always been a bit more flexible because we are mass producing a bunch of larger items. So do them as soon as you can & get them out as soon as you can. We can all understand if 'life' putting a kink in your plans. Sometimes, if you push the muse, she runs off. Don't push her & you will a happier crafter. ~C8>

Won't know until it is processed totally.
Good first technique challenge Ms Mouse. This ole pea brain is already thinking beyond this project!
Thanks for the extra time....I have had hot water heater woes since last Friday and just now fixed late Thursday afternoon...almost a week without...What ever did the pioneer women do? A lot less crafting I would say or what they made and created was totally practical and useful, frugal...etc.

Life is happening here, too. Friday night, as the winter storm got underway really good, our heater went out. All weekend we froze! It stayed about 50 degrees on the main floor, and in the 40's in our bedrooms. brrrrr....
We used every blanket and sleeping bag we own, to stay warm. Now, we have to get it fixed this week. The next snow storm is due in Friday or Sat, again.

ps--I will let you know when I get the tags done and postal! If it is ice/snow on Friday, I may just mail the tags individually (two to an envelope) and not venture out to the PO, and then I can send a return SASE at a later date...at least that would get my tags on the way!!!

I had too much fun with it last night! One thing I might suggest to everyone that is having troubles, is after you pull the paper off the shaving cream don't wipe it right away. I let mine sit for about 2 hours and then wiped it. When wiping I kind of scooped the foam instead of smearing it. The colors seem to turn out really sharp and crisp that way. Hope this helps someone!

I can usually get 3 prints from one pile of shaving cream. (I like to use 1/4 sheet pieces of cardstock which will make 2 tags.) I try not to over blend the ink/paint to start with so the colors of 1st print tends to be a bit bloppy. The 2nd print usually comes out pretty good & the 3rd looks good but the colors tend to be more blended. I use a pencil to swirl the colors about before I make the 1st print & leave the foam on prints 1 & 2 until after I do #3. Then I wipe 1 off 1st, then 2 etc. I use the pencil to take the foam off as close as I can to the cardstock w/o actually scraping the paper. Then I blot the remaining foam off with paper towels. I'll probably use the 2nd prints for my tags & keep the 1st & 3rds for cards. HTH :D

LOL...YES ALSMOUSE, that is so right....i think just doing it for the first time on the tag size paper just got to me this time...i have never had a hard time before....thats got to be it...the small size...i did them on the tags. maybe i should have tried doing a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper and then just cut them down....how do you do this method on the tag size...maybe you know a secret that will help me..inkkyjo
Inkkyjo, try doing it on 8.5 x 11, 4.25 x 5.5 or 8.5 x 5.5. The tag sizes would be too small to control since they are such a mini field. That would be like trying to do the same technique on an inchie. :)) Your mind would turn to jello & we know what a mess that makes when it dribbles out of your ears:eek: Use a comfortable size of paper & it will be easier. don't skimp on the shaving cream either. It is designed to be a throwaway item so use it to your advantage. I like doing a 8.5 x 11 only in that I can keep the lesser ones for other backgrounds. And the really icky ones can always be used for RAKs to someone who has no idea of what the goal was.
So, pull on your big girl panties, take a deep breath, & ask your muse to try again. And remember these are not due to mail out till the end of the month.

i didnt do the bubble tags but have tried to do the shaving cream tag....dang ....i messed them up 2 times now...i tried to do some heat embossing on one, so i wouldnt have to send in plain ones...bad idea, they were perfect before i did that , cause i already had to do them over.....well that didnt look good so i had to mess with another one, and keep going tring to make them look good..now i got the whole bunch messed up...why cant i stop at just one..dang..i am so mad at myself..i dont know if i will try marches...i may have to cancel out...my embossing just didnt turn out right, i have a few strays on a few, and then my other problem was a image placement thingy, i just couldnt seem to place it right..well ..thanks friends for listening to me , i feel better now..sorry for being a crybaby today...
Yes, please BREATHE!!!
I had to make 24 quarter sheet prints to get 12 tags I liked, so don't sweat not getting 12 perfect tags in the first go. Nobody gets perfect tags in the first try with techniques like these. That's the point of the challenge, learning new things.
Remember, if you don't have at least one brain cell aching after doing this swap, you're not doing it right! :D

thanks alsmouse and inky...i did try again, and my color came out better...but did them on the tag size again, i did them before i read you and inkys info on how to ink them....do it on bigger paper...you just made all my future stamping so much better...i dont know why i have never gone too far away from just plain stamping and coloring, and ect...but I will try more for the future now...the more out of the box I go...the better i can become as a stamper...inkkyjo

Good idea! I know that I had a couple of quarter sheets that I could only get one good tag out of, but the scraps might have made good inchies. Now I know for next time. :D

Ok, my tags are done for Feb. It was fun, and interesting. I used 2 shades of blue pigment inks in the shaving cream, and one looks green. lol Ah well, makes the tags more interesting, I suppose. :)

Blue? I thought the colors for this quarter were red/orange/yellow? :confusion:
Supplies needed for first quarter: pan/tray dedicated for art, dish washing liquid, acrylic paints, re-inkers, unscented shaving cream, paint stir stick, paper towels, drinking straw, plastic knife, card stock, glossy card stock.
I will post the remaining months techniques & supply lists soon but I wanted each of you to have a chance to add any missing supplies to your Holiday Wish lists.
This is what Ms. Mouse listed for February tags. :D

OK...officially just did the shaving cream technique for the first time...messy, but I kinda liked it...especially since I had to use the acrylic paints because I didn't have a red reinker. Somehow they turned out more orange than anything...lol.
For the most part, they did NOT represent that tutorial that I posted earlier that Gina K did. Maybe because I did not have a squeegee thingy and I used a plastic knife? And maybe because I was clueless after all? LOL.
Anyhow...I hope to get them assembled this afternoon, and into the PO today.
I'm home from work with the tail end of the crud...phew...
Take care all!

Ladies, I am feeling so yukky that I am just going to mail these out tomorrow, March 2nd.
Ann, they will be in 4 normal card sized envelopes so that I do not have to take them to the PO to weigh them.
I will be sending return postage and a return envy out on Friday March 5th, along with your stuff from that store.
I am trying to beat the upcoming snowstorm that they say will hit tomorrow afternoon/Wed...because I do not want to try to go to the PO in that kind of weather, and this is the best I can do at this point.
Thanks and thanks for holding my swaps till you get my postage and envelope!

Teena, dahling, we have yet to flog anyone for being late for this swap. Get them mailed as soon as SAFELY possible & don't stress over it. Life happens when we least expect it, usually at the most inconvenient moments & so does yucky weather.
DON'T PET THE SWEATY THINGS!!! :D

Sigh...
Had a personal family situation come up which took a lot of time this evening.
Then...
My yellow paper is AWOL. I tried the orange I have but it doesn't match the technique paper. I will figure this out tomorrow and get these postal on Wednesday.
The weather forcasters are now saying that there is going to be "little or no accumulation" of snow...thank goodness!
Take care all!

I'm going to fess up here. These are the last on my to do list as I am scrambling to make samples for a workshop I may do in May/June timeframe for our LSS due tomorrow afternoon. I've also been carting hubby to and from dr's appointments the past week and a half; don't know if the next set of tests will confirm lyme disease or not but we do know something is going on. We just don't have a diagnosis, and therefore no treatment plan yet.
I'm planning on tackling these around Thursday and hopefully out the door this weekend.

I'm shooting for getting mine postal on Friday or Saturday. I have them cut, it's just the putting them together...LOL.
Still feeling kinda yukky too...
On a funny note:
It JUST hit me today that if you take an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock, cut it in half, then make 4 sections on each half equally, you come up with the EXact size for these tags. How easy is that?
I think I have measured them from every angle prior to this including thickness...LOL.

Gee Teena, it's almost like it was planned out that way. :eyeroll: You are not the only one who took a while to figure that out. Inky Whiskers has a template that makes it really easy to figure out too. Just send her a PM & she will send it out.

These will go out on Monday after work!!! I did not make it to the PO at all today. Woke up this AM and had slept thru taking my arthritis meds, and was stiffer than a board...literally.
All I have to do now is whack the corners and punch holes and they are DONE! YAY!!!
