I just bought some although I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to use it. I wanted to use it in rubber stamping projects. Although I've done a few searches on the internet, I can't seem to find any suggestions/videos for using it in card making. Any suggestions or instructions you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use diamond glaze as an adhesive. It's great for the tiny marbles and hard to glue items. You can also use it like a clear paint to highlight an image or to protect fragile ephemera. I'm sure there's more but that's what came to mind.

There are a lot of uses for Diamond Glaze and I think others will be chiming in to tell you how they use it, but one of the simplest ways is to coat an image that you want to look like water, glass, or for things you want to have a shiny surface. I've used it on raindrops, a champagne bottle, a clear vase, bright red cherries, a candy apple, etc. You get the idea.

Thanks Ingrid. That helps. I wasn't sure if it was a product that could be used to coat an entire card front or used just for accents. Thanks for clearing it up. I'd love to hear how others use it too. Seems with rubber stamping and all the products we can use, I learn something new every day. Thanks again.

i used it as a glossy card front way before i got into embossing...the clear embossing powders are way easier...and you dont have to wait for it to dry..so now i just use it to make my own shinny accents for my cards...its just the thing for atc's . where you dont need that much....i even put it on my die cuts and embossed images..have fun with it...one jar will last a long time so its cheap for a pretty shine.

Thanks. I'll probably do the same thing and use it for shine on my cards too. I prefer embossing powders too.

Check out MaryJo McGraw's blog [maryjomcgraw.blogspot.com] for the best info on how to use Diamond Glaze & D3. I took a class from her & learned a lot. #1 always store your DG upside down to avoid air bubbles, just make sure the cap is on tight. :eyeroll:

I just bought some although I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to use it.
This is my favorite way to inspiring creativity--just pick up a new product to try. You never know where it will lead!

I use Diamond Glaze (or Crystal Lacquer or like products) a lot. In my Oct. sketch challenge Santa card, I used it for the glasses on Santa. I use it as an adhesive, too. I also put it on top of Dominoes or Rummikub tiles after I stamp & color on them to make refrigerator magnets. When I highlight a certain part of a stamped image (I stamp 2 of the same image & cut the 2nd piece out & adhere on top of the 1st image w/Pop Dots), I like to coat the highlighted image with Diamond Glaze for even more of a pop. If I don't have a glue pen when I'm making my medallions, I will use it to put glitter on my medallion creations.
Remember to store on it's side or upside down, but if you do get bubbles just pop them with a pin. I also leave a pin in the top of the nozzle to keep it from sealing shut. Think outside of the box with this or any new products that you haven't used. I make dollhouse miniatures, so I use a lot of these type products to make my mini treasures. I'm sure others can tell you more ideas.

Great helpful suggestions from everyone. Thanks so much. Can't wait to play. Today won't be a good day for that between trick or treaters and my grandson visiting, stamping will have to wait. Thanks again for all your help!!

I have used it on dominoes that I have stamped to seal and add dimension. Sometimes it does get air bubbles, soooo I have used a pin to get the bubbles out.

I was stamping a Santa image the other day where he has a pair of glasses on and I put some just on the lenses. My son thought that was... "COOL". lol :D. Always a good thing when you can impress a teenager.

You mean you have someone to blame when you want more :D. I can just hear it, "Honey I need to go the that stamp convention because Judikins will be there and I have to buy more DG".
