At my stamp club last night we put a large glue dot, one side, in glitter to
add more bling to the center of a flower.

I was wishing for white brads today to put on a card. Then I remembered
that I had pastel brads that would match the watercolor in the stamped
image and the cardstock. I put icicle stickles on the head of each brad,
and voila!

I needed some additional bling so I put 3/8" glue dots on the heads of my small square brads and then swooshed them in some Art Glitter that matched my color scheme. Think they look great and no drying time!

I read somewhere on a blog about using embossing powder on the head of brads to bling up projects.

Yep! Just use long tweezers or forcepts to hold the brad prongs so as to not burn yourself and use plain metal brads. You don't want to do this to a brad that has been patina'd, painted or has a colored plastic coating! The fumes created by heating the paint or plastic could be very unhealthy to breathe!!! Have your embossing powder container open nearby & use a heat tool to warm the head of the brad enough to allow the ep to stick to it. Heat the brad some more to melt the powder evenly & add more layers if needed. Once the ep is liquid, pay attention so the molten ep doesn't drip on your skin. Rotate the brad to keep the ep even. Let both the brad & the tweezers cool COMPLETELY before letting go of the brad. This only takes a minute tops & will spare you a nasty little burn. Patients is more than a virtue when working with hot stuff, it's essential to your health & safety! :D
