BFF (Best Friends Forever) ATC Swap

I would lOVE to host a 4-4-4 ATC Swap. Theme will be "BFF" (Best Friends Forever). I have a great vintage photo of two little girls sitting on a porch and it's just screaming to me....ATC; ATC; ATC!!!!!

Size must be 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 and fit into an ATC Sleeve which is basically a sports card sleeve. Don't worry if you don't have any, I have plenty and will place your ATC in the sleeve prior to swapping them out!
Due Date - 15 Jul 07
Amount - Send 4 ATC and receive 4 back
Postage - SASE - overseas folks are more than welcome to play, I'll pay for them to be shipped back to you. When you mail your ATC to me just send me some paper, trinkets etc. to cover the cost of shipping.

There's still plenty of time if anyone else wants to join. I also thought I might add a Swap Gallery in Gallery Row. I can have a different folder for each swap and everyone can upload their cards when the swap is over...what do you think?

I like the idea of a swap gallery, Amy! This way those who read along can see what those of us doing swaps are talking about. Maybe seeing what kind of projects they can receive by joining the swapping fun will motivate more folks to participate. :D

I really like the idea of a swap gallery. I can't put any of my cards on the gallery (tech challanged) so would love to see what others do. And maybe get a few of mine in too if the receiver dosen't mind. One day I'll get the whole download thing figured out. I'm truely electronicly challanged. Bro in law had to even set up my computer and all its extras & comes over 2x a year to check it. Ahh, the power of microbrew beer, chips & salsa.

Instead of a gallery for every swap, how about one per category, such as card swaps, ATC swap, challenges, etc, they could possible be by year as well. I'm afraid the galleries would be too small for a new one each time and the list of galleries would become overwhelming in a very short time. We could then just put the month in the title when we download.

Am I making sense? :confusion: Too much going on, I'm going to make cards and have some me time I think.

Stacy, I was thinking of one gallery in Gallery Row for swaps...within that gallery I would have a separate folder for each swap. Still, it could get a little crowded. I could do the Swap Gallery like I originally thought and within that do the categories you suggested.

I haven't joined any swaps because I don't have stamps to match the
themes, yet. I do enjoy looking at them and drool when my friends (one
a Stampin Up demo, the other The Angel Company) get their swaps.

I've cased one idea from a swap and have used it several times over. I
don't even remember what the original looked like anymore. I'll see if I have
a photo I can reduce and get up on the gallery.

I like the idea of there being a separate place, space.

I have the stamps I'm going to use all laid out but I'm going to be lazy and try and get the pre-cut ATC cards from Marcos this weekend. I've never done an ATC before :blush:. I'll get the cards done when I get home so I should be ok with the deadline.

I'm going to have to scope out a friend's stamp collection to see if I can
augment my own. . .I only have two half-baked ideas and don't have stamps
to supplement them. I can at least stamp BFF on them!

I rounded the corners on mine & didn't get zapped with lightning or anything, so if that's what works for you & your muse, I say go for it. :D

Egad, Amy!!! You almost don't need a heat tool to emboss in those temps! You might want to move your glue dots to the fridge as they tend to ooze when they get too warm. We're only in the 70's - 80's and mine are all lil ovals now. :lol:

I'm sorry to have kept the rest of you waiting and I have told Glomom that I think she should swap out. Since I'm "trans-Atlantic" making a new batch isn't an option, it would only keep you all waiting for at least another week(given I get them in the mail tonight or tomorrow morning "my time").
If/when they turn up they´re Glomom's to keep/do what she wants with.

Again, I'm really sorry for this - both keeping you all waiting and missing out on this great swap:cry:

The sad part is that only 4 us will get to enjoy Gunvor's long distance art work in person! (5 counting Glomom23) :cry: With 4 of each ATC going out hopefully all the ATCs will get put up in the swap gallery even if some folks aren't up to the scan/upload part of the RSC fun yet. :D

I got mine last Friday! What a lovely reason to take a break from getting ready for the stamping event I taught at Saturday. Once I get unpacked & settled a bit I'll scan & upload the wonderful ATCs I received. Great job Amy, peicesandpom, Deb & April!!! :clap:
