Art Nude ATC Swap

How many of you would like to use your artsy nude stamps? :blush:

Beardsley, Bouguereau, Cezanne, DaVinci, Erte, Gauguin, Michelangelo, Renoir - I could name hundreds of classical artists whose work involved the human form. Some stamp companies have even immortalized their work in rubber, along with art from more modern lesser-known artists.

Whether your art is inspired by the great masters, Art Nouveau or Betty Paige pinups, it's welcome in this swap. We'll swap 5 for 5 ATCs.

Swap closes April 15 (an easy date to remember).

I was going to close the signups on the 15th, and have the actual ATCs due the 25th.

You can make them all the same or different - your choice. I admit that it's easier to divide them to send if they're all the same, but you don't have to worry about making things easier for me :D

Silly nudes are acceptable, too!!!

Pardon my silence, but my life has become very complicated quite suddenly, and unexpectedly. I have had work/personal/health/family emergencies the past two weeks, and I am still working on them. I have to fly to Ohio tomorrow to take care of some of them, and won't be back for a while.

SO if you want to sign up, there is still time!!!

I have received one set of ATCS already, and know another set is on the way to me.

Please participate and give me a reason to smile, or even chuckle - I could use it!

We haven't heard anything in over 4 months. Are you okay? What's the status of these ATCs?

More importantly, all the Nude ATC envelopes have been mailed out to everyone yesterday!

I cannot thank all of you enough for your patience these past few months. My father finally died the last week of August. As you experienced, I put my whole life on hold to fly between Dallas and Ohio to take care of both him and his final arrangements, selling his house, clearing out his house, etc.

Now I wanna play!!!

Once upon a time there was interest in doing a more mature swap on a regular basis. If there is still interest, I'm willing to continue hosting.

I'll post another swap for November. Watch for it.

where do you buy a nude stamp..me being in the country..away from any large city..my only stamp store doesn't carry them....what kind of nude are we talking about..thanks..inkkyjo

You can do a search for nude rubber stamp designs,and check out the different vendors.Most are very tasteful,some a little silly, I've never seen anything really graphic.Not to say they aren't out there,I've just never seen any.I will check the manufacturer of the few I picked up at a garage sale,and let you know.I'm at work and don't have them to look at.I'll try to remember this weekend.

I don't know if they are still available, but I do have some, er, pretty graphic images. I've refrained from using them just in case they're a little too much for people.

Many tasteful nudes are out there, too. Quite a few original images, plus many that are based on paintings and other art.

I looked at my stamps,only one had a manufacturer.Rubber Poet.The other had no name.Both images look like they could be from the same artist,but you never know.Both are side, or back views ,of nude females.I happened to get them at a garage sale,in a huge bag of stamps.Definitely something different!

I guess you would just have to let any participants know ahead of time.If someone thinks they might be offended,then they shouldn't participate.I get a little bored with the same old things,and love to see what other people are stamping with.I know sometimes the images I think are great,my stamping buddies think are weird.Same goes for their favorites.I am looking forward to whatever you come up with next.
