I just discovered this wonderful technique. Maybe it's not new to some of you, but I was just blown away by it, and wanted to share.
You will need:
Matte cardstock (I used white)
Chalks (2 - 4 colors)
Cotton Balls
Baby Wipes
With a cotton ball wipe the chalks over your cardstock, blending the colors together as you go. Make sure to get good coverage, rubbing the chalk into the cardstock.
Now, take the baby wipe and rub the chalks, like you were blending. Don't rub so hard you make a hole in the paper, but a little bit of the chalk will come off, and leave your paper looking textured. I've just tried it twice, and both papers look different. You can dry the paper with a heat gun if you desire, but I just let mine air dry.
As an added bonus, my cardstock now smells good, too.
