I just picked some cling style stamps and it seems like you can't even see the ink taking to the stamp. Plus the image is a bit blurry. Any help or suggestions would help. I was stamping on kromkoat paper, heven help us if I was using any other type paper, it would look even worse.

Are you refering to clear polymer stamps, pre-clinged plastic stamps (like See-D's) or new rubber stamps with a layer of foam between the rubber & the cling surface? All three can refuse ink the first time you use them. Cleaning them usually helps, but use a polymer cleaner with the clear & plastic stamps and rubber cleaner for the rubber. If that doesn't help, a gentle buffing of the rubber stamp with either a very fine grit sanding block or fun foam may help to ruffle the surface giving the ink something to cling to w/o ruining the image. For the other 2 types, try inking them with chalk ink then washing them right away. Of the 3 types, rubber is the most porous (allowing it to hold ink better) as well as having the longest shelf life, the others are fairly new to the stamping arena & only time will tell how long we'll have those images to play with. All 3 should give us at least several years of stamping fun! :D

I agree with Jenna; I have to use chalk or pigment inks with my clear stamps or I just don't get the image I want from them. I don't have lots of chalk inks so I tend to be 'fussy' about when I use them.

I know the ones you are talking about! They are a bit of a nightmare to say the least, the only way I got over the ink issue was to stamp on any scrap paper first to gauge what was going on.
Once you try a few scraps you should be sorted. Hope this helps.
