I was thinking of hosting a game for the new CBS show Pirate Master (http://www.cbs.com/primetime/pirate_master/) but it starts in two weeks and I would need a total of 16 people to sign up. Anyone interested? You would just be sending me one hand stamped card/ATC/artwork... we can figure out the particulars if we can get enough people to play. Just post here if you're interested. And I wouldn't need the artwork (whatever we decide on) for a couple months.

I would be game but I don't have a pirate stamp. Do you think I would have time to get one at the convention at the end of July or should I plan on trying to get something sooner - LRRS maybe. I have other bits and pieces that would work but probably need a pirate as a focal point to tie it all together and ensure the theme is clear to the viewer.

You don't even need to have anything pirate related for this game!

Cool! We can even play if we can get eight people, we would each just have to enter two stamped things...but let's see how we do here.

I just joined the group and read about the game. I would enjoy getting involved and learning more about the stamping world. patty.

Well we didn't get enough takers to do this but I may try again with a different show...I was thinking Big Brother (I love that show).

I think I'd be more interested if I watched either show you've mentioned.

Any ideas for a swap game relating to Law & Order? How about MythBusters? Bulls**t on HBO? Deadliest Catch? Dirty Jobs? Dresden Fliles? No sports tho', we don't do those.

Can you tell I live with 2 guys? :))

Well the game goes like this...everyone stamps one card/artwork of any kind and would mail it to me. Then they would pick one person on the show as "theirs". If that person they picked got eliminated from the show then that person is out of the game. Winner (person that picked the show winner as "theirs") wins all the cards. You can also have side games...say first two people to kiss I'll send them each an ink pad...and so on. That's why it works so well for reality shows. You don't have to watch the show to play but it does make it more fun to participate if you do.

Ah! So it's a "pool" for stampers. Got it! What if 2 people want to pick the same character on the show? First come first served? This does sound intriguing. I'll play the next one!

Hey Amy!

America has Talent just started it's summer season. They encored the first episode tonight (the Dallas auditions) and tonight they're showing the LA auditions at 8pm on NBC. They still have the NY & Chicago auditions to go then the top 20 acts will go to Las Vegas to compete for the one million dollar prize. Would this show work for your Reality Pool game?

I was so intrigued by the idea once I finally got how it's played. :D

It would kinda work. Do they show them living together or is it just a talent show? It's better if some personal stuff is going on because then you can do side bets. Survivor is really good...first person that faints gets a set of ink pads...so whoever picked that player would get that prize.

For last night's auditions they showed the contestants back stage getting interviewed by the host (Jerry Springer) both before & after perfomances (lots of tears) and at one point Sharon Osbourn (one of the judges along with David Hasselhoff & some Brittish journalist named Piers who plays the "Simon" roll on the panel) walked out during the judging 'cause she was so upset with Piers for telling a 9 yr. old that her mother shouldn't have forced her to perform for the show when she obviously wasn't ready for this level of compitition. (The kid claimed it was her choice.) So while there was melodrama, it's not the live in kind. This program is more like American Idol crossed with The Gong Show. (same format with "anything goes" acts) They might do more behind the scenes stuff once they've narrowed the field down to the 20 finalists in Vegas, but I didn't watch last season, so I don't know for sure. It was just a thought. :)
