Spooky Halloween Inchies

The inchies don't have to be spooky! I thought it sounded good! ;) This is my first swap here, so please be gentle with me. I have hosted lots of swaps over the years and I really love inchies! Been rubberstamping for 17 years. This swap can be any medium, round or square inchies and as long as they are 1" and Halloween. I will swap 9/9 and would like to see everyone signed up make at least 3 designs (depending on how many sign up) so that I don't have to send anyone's artwork back. Hope you'll give me a chance and join my swap! :) Here are the details...

DUE DATE: October 20th (so everyone can have these in time for Halloween)
Please send a SASE with postage (at least .62) Overseas are welcome too! I will pay shipping in exchange for some ephemera/goodies for making art. Please let me know if you want to sign up and I'll add your name to the list. I will send you my snail address by PM when you are signed up. Looking so forward to 'meeting' and trading with some new artists!

Hi there! LOL! You can make more than one set, but the second set needs to be different than the first set. That way I don't get confused and no one will get their own back. This has worked for me so well and since it works, I don't wanna change it. ;) Thank you for your enthusiasm!

In other words if you make 2 sets, I always say just "stick with the swap standards" like you were two people making a different set. I hope that makes sense! hehe

Now to go add all of your names to the swappers list.

I would make my address public, but I do have a good reason.(I know this sounds whacko! and I was surprised myself) Recently I had 3 people (seemingly friends) sending me snail mail wanting an ATC trade and I didn't know who they were. (not from here of course) When I tried to email asking where they got my name from, they wouldn't answer. While I am flattered they want to trade, I didn't have time to as I had so many swaps I either was hosting or signed up for. Never had anyone do that before. I finally found what Yahoo group they came from, but I wasn't on any "one on one" trade list. LOL! So, I had the owner remove my address in the contact list and leave my name only. I've also had people harvest my name and address for art chain letters..ugh! Anyway, that is the reason.

You betcha! You can make 2 sets..the only thing I ask is that you stick with the swap standards which is to make the second set different than the first. Also, to make it easier to swap out, please make at least 3 designs in each set of 9. I'm having a blast too! I've already started on mine! LOL! That is too cute! I remember my daughter and I stamping together when she was 10 and she is turning 21 this month! :laugh:

MY DS doesn't want to stamp with me (just borrow my nifty crafting toys), but he does occasionally look over my shoulder & give me a 'that's pretty cool, mom' :lol: His muse directs him to paint gaming miniatures & he's gotten pretty darn good. Of course, I'm his mother & extremely biased where he's concerned! :))

LOL! Inky Whiskers! You crack me up! hehe DH use to paint gaming miniatures...painted an entire army of Warhammer figures. His buddies called them the "Smurf" army because they are the prettiest shade of that smurf color blue! LOL! Well, I am pretty darn biased too and thought they were fantastic! Not to mention that I love the color blue! Alas, his eyes cannot handle that tiny stuff any more.

Considering how much time DS spends hunched over his desk squinting at those tiny lil things, I don't know how long his eyes are gonna last. :lol: One of his fav things to do to them is to add teeny tiny runes around the edges of cloaks & shields and along weapon blades using what we jokingly call his 3 hair brush. I keep telling him to sell them on eBay to pad his college fund. He just rolls his big baby blues & tells me I'm not objective enough where he's concerned. Darned tootin' I ain't! :D

Hi Booner,
I have a question -- I figure there are going to be well over 50 different designed inchies in this swap, and even though some of us (like me) did two sets, we'll still only be seeing either 9 or 18 of the different creations.
What I was wondering is, would it be too much trouble to ask if you could possibly lay out one of each onto your scanner, make an attachment and post it to the gallery after all the inchies have been swapped out & received?
It would just be soooo nice to get to see ALL of the inchies.
It's just a thought.
I don't mind scanning & posting the ones I made, and in past swaps a few of us do, but not everyone, and it just seems ashame not to get to see all the ideas everyone's come up with.
Thanks for listening and no problem if it's not possible, just thought it doesn't hurt to ask at least.;)

I can appreciate seeing everyone's ideas and I do encourage everyone to share their own work by adding to the gallery. That's a great idea! I haven't tried to add to the gallery here, but had problems loading a photo onto another forum gallery and not sure why! grrr! Just haven't had time to figure out why. DH says it could be just my picture publisher. Maybe everyone could take a scan or photo of their work to share before sending in for the swap and then upload after all the inchies have been received.

I am so glad they got there. I didn't want to have to make them over. I decorated the envelopes with Posh Inkabilities. If you have ever been to a convention that I am a vendor, you will see me demo this technique.

I will be taking them to the post office and drop them in the box inside this afternoon, so they should keep moving over the weekend. This was so fun and some of the bestest work I've seen on Halloween inchies. It was my pleasure to host such a fun swap! I am use to seeing collage or other mediums used, so seeing lots of rubber stamps used is just a real treat! Can't wait to show them to my stamping group this Saturday!

I uploaded scans of all the kewl Inchies I received.
I've tried several times to upload a scan with description of the Inchies I made for the swap, but the computer is giving me a devil of a time this morning & keeps kicking me out. Aaarrgh! :exorcist:

I've heard that the 'fly in the ointment' inchie has had it's flies flying off. If the last person who got that inchie will let me know, I will send a few replacement flies for your house. :D ~C8>

Now I know why inchies can be addicting! They were so wonderful, I want MORE! :))
I looked in the gallery, Vicki! You did a super job. SO fun to look at. That certainly helped my developing addiction! :lol: I think I can survive the day without more inchies, because I got to SEE more.

KEWL! Somebody must like you a lot to send a whole coffin load just for you & Tucker to play with! :)) DH put out lil bowls of wine to attract & drown those pesky fruit flies, but it didn't seem to kill very many of them, just get them drunk so they flew in crooked circles. :lol: Swapping the open compost bucket on the counter for one with a lid did the most good for cutting down on the lil buggers. :D

I wrote you a PM and haven't heard back, but I traded one of those 'cause I love it! I even tried to glue them all back on as they fell off in transit to me. I used the wrong glue..can't remember now whether I used Diamond Glaze or Ultimate glue, but now the fly has gone again! Pesky little flies! LOL! :wave: Thanks Ann!
