Got in a bind the other day and needed a stamp that said thank you . I hate being in a bind but I found a real easy way to make a stamp with some things I had in the shop.
The first thing I used was the letters that are die cut out of heavy cardboard I then found a piece of double stick tape stuck one side on a block of wood and peeled the sticky off the tape then stuck the finished side of the letters down spelling it backwards. Yes the letters had a sticky side this was the side the ink went on . Ink the stamp real well untill all I could see was ink and stamped my veneer . It worked it was awesome.

What kind of ink(s) are you using? Traditional advice is to use a solvent ink like StazOn or pigment ink with embossing to avoid having the ink bleed. I've stamped with acryllic paint on wood, but haven't done much with inks on wood, yet. I'm always up for new stamping fun! :D

Inky Whiskers The inks that I am using are the inks made by stampabilities I realy dont know except it is nontoxic . The first thing I do before I stamp or emboss is I spray a clear coat to seal the wood . I then dust my cards with baby powder 100%cornstarch stuff. Dollar store quality. We have just recently started using prisma watercolor pencils and crayons . Wow . Come check my gallery out it should be up this sunday.Free wood veneer for the asking .

Hmmm...could be dye or pigment ink, but spray sealing does indeed inhibit bleeding. How does one go about getting a sample of your wood veneer products? Do you have a website up yet? :D

Hey Jenna,
Just ask him. He sent me some all the way here to Mexico!! I love the paper thin veneer. I have been making guitar cards using it and they are awesome!! I too sprayed the veneer with a tranparent enamel then used versamark and embossing powder. It turned out cool!! He also has thicker ve3neer that heis using to make postcards with. His wife colored one for me and it was great. Like I said just ask and he will send you some!!
Blesings,
