Was picking up allergy meds for hubby, and found a couple of dollar bargains while waiting.
First was a cute tin of cookies, it's the tall kind that will be perfect altered to hold markers or paint brushes or something in. After the cookies are gone of course.:p
The other bargain was a package of "pocket memo pads". There were 10 of them with 40 pages in each one. I feel an altering session coming on, does someone want to come over to play this week?

OMG I love tins! It's a sickness I tell ya. I could care less what's inside, I just want the tin. Back when I had a "real" job and we would get a gift from a doctor's office and it was in a tin...I always called dibs. I don't do anything with them except use them to store things in like beads, glass frit, jewelry stuff, etc...

In this case the insides were good too. They were those cookies that they roll out into a pancake like shape and roll into a tube shapes. The inside was a yummy lime filling.
I have tons of tins too, including ones with advertising them on display in my kitchen.
Examples - Snickers, Milkey Way and M&M candies
Several Hershey
"Popcorn movie nite" one
2 different Quaker Oats ones
Some depicting art from one of my favs, Terry Redlin
Several CAmpbells soups from an Aunt that was a Campbell's collector
One Currier and Ives
Also some copper metal tin canisters
But I am not addicted I tell ya!!!:noway:

:exorcist: Oh, geez, Stacy, you are going to get me in big big trouble. First the recipe for pina colada pudding, then the pork roast, and now tins. My hubby thinks I already collect too much stuff, but you never know when you are going to need it. And I LOVE to alter stuff.
I thought my sister was going to pass out the first time I altered a book. She reads voraciously (as do I), and to her a book is sacred. When she saw me tearing out pages, painting stuff, punching holes and cutting I thought she would die. So when I was done, I gave it to her. She's much better now...lol.

 Then I guess you don't want to know that the tin that those instant flavored coffee's come in are the perfect size to alter as an ATC holder. So is a bandaide tin if you can find one. Hate that they come in a plain ol box now, course you could save and alter it instead.:p
BTW did you try the pork chops yet?

 You aren't in trouble with moi....my hubby says I'm a packrat. I prefer "collector". Of course he should talk....he has more fishing stuff than I have stamping stuff, and his is way more expensive.
I grind my coffee and use the flavored creamers, so no coffee tins for me, but I'm going to hunt up a bandaid tin. Thanks for the suggestion.
And no, I haven't tried the pork chops yet. I've had a touch of the flu, so I'm restricting myself to easily digestible foods for the moment. Hmmm...maybe I should make some of the pina colada pudding.
Okay, I'm off to the kitchen to see what I can rustle up...

Decided to put snacks into that tin I got for a dollar when we went to the baseball game this weekend and they confiscated it. No tins allowed, :argue: I just wanted to keep our cookies from getting wet and or smashed.
It was going to be the perfect size for paint brushes or something once I got around to altering it too. :( I wasn't sure she would understand if I had said " but you don't understand I'm a stamper and I need that tin".

Thank you Mary Ann, if she only knew what a sacrifice that was. ;)
Of course my son and husband weren't much help either, they just rolled their eyes :eyeroll: and kept saying "Come on lets go!". How could they possibly be worried about some silly ballgame when I was being tortured.
(:)) ).
