This may be a little in the game as I just joined RSC but what items do you have from Stampin'Up? What is the pattern on the wheel and what sets of stamps do you have - any words? Also, do you have any of their punches? Thanks!

Hi betspeer (Betty), or too anyone else having interest,
I too am new here - still trying to take everything in....a bit overwhelming, but so well organized it seems.
I have been stamping for 9? years now and have a ton of things of StampinUp annd single stamps, misc. items, tool, etc., that I am going to sell. I have Parkinson Disease and was just diagnosed several years ago - though at the stage I am at they feel I have had it for awhile.
Anyway, I AM NOT GIVING UP STAMPING, but I am willing to recognize some of my limitations - mostly because I just get so frustrated with how much longer it takes me to get a card done. I have decided that for my own sanity, to stick to just the basics of card-making.
Many of the sets I just lost interest in after being diagnosed (I wasn't able to stamp at all for quite awhile due to tremors not yet under control) and just staring at them, some I am unable to do if there is any fine detail. I have many sets UM - am hoping to use them (or even some of my used sets) for a couple of sets from StampinUp (don't have a current catty-but an old one) that have larger images or ones I'd like to try. I am trying not to put a lot more money into buying stamps - unless I get rid of something else.
So, I don't want to step on anyones toes (mostly because with the PD I'd be more likely to trip over them - LOL - yep, no tears here - just laugh & make the most of it. Back to the toes.....if you are interested in any sets once you have heard from the other lady, just get back with me. I must admit, I do have a lot of "brain fog" due to all the meds I take - sometimes I feel like I'm in reverse! JLMK!

Blessings,
Debbie

Hi to Frog Lady. I have multiple sclerosis, so can relate to the frustration of it interfering with stamping ability! Don't ever give up on stamping! I've learned that most people are impressed with homemade cards, even if they are not "perfect." At first, I was defensive about that, thinking they were impressed that I could ANYTHING, but have learned that wasn't the case. Some days I am unable to do anything stamp related, but too bullheaded to give up completely. (The bullheadedness drives DH crazy sometimes; that's a bonus!)

Hi Debbie,

I currently have a dear friend I stamp with who has Parkinson's. She said some days are rough but the stamping can sometimes help her relax and she is making wonderful cards. Keep enjoying your passion.

Once you have evaluated which ones you keeping just let me. I am still interested. Thanks.

I recently bought a SpeedBall press. You put the paper on the plate, ink the stamp and place it on the paper then bring down the press handle and it gives an even application. Do you think something like this would help those of you with disabilities?

It's a recent acquisition. I have friends with arthritis in their hands and have a problem stamping. I thought it would be good to have this tool for them to use when they are here. If you want more information, e-mail me privately and I'll get the website for you. It's the same company that makes the Genesis Paper Trimmer now.

I might be interested, but what do you have before I commit?

I would love some of your things but cannot commit as I live here in Mexico and our money is very tight right now (I know you have all hear it before). I am attempting to start a stampin class with the older girls from an orphanage here, where my husband and I are active as volunteers (look at my album-Love in Action) If any of you have stamps that you would like to donate to this cause I would be happy to pay postage. Things need to be mailed in a flat priority envelope to get here quickly. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am looking forward to all the lovely veneer postcards that are being sent here to help raise money for the orphanage. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of those postcards will go directly to the orphanage. Anything I sell of things I make 50% goes to the orphange. I take nothing for business expenses or supplies.
Blessings to All,
