Hi everyone!
Today I learned something really neat that i wanted to share. It might not be new to some of you, but then again it might be!
Take a piece of plain white cardstock (I have a bunch of that inexpensive kind you get at staples), a piece of wax paper a bit larger than the cs. Crumple the wax paper up tightly, then smooth it out and lay it on top of the piece of cs, and place another piece of cs on top of that. (a wax paper sandwich!)
Put a piece of light chipboard or shirt cardboard underneath this "sandwich" to protect your ironing surface. Iron set on high, no steam, for a few seconds. Rub dye ink all over the waxed cs with a cosmetic sponge, and there will be a nice batik type pattern!
I tried this tonight, and I love the look of it!
I hope that you'll like this little technique! I think it will make interesting ATC backgrounds, on cards, or punched/cut for embellishments.
