Here's a question on stamping. I don't do a lot of it, but I'd like to use it for this project I'm doing called Open the Door through joggles.com.

I tried a couple of sample pages before I start on the cover of the blank book we're using (from 7 Gypsies). For one, I used a metallic blue Lumiere fabric paint, and the other, I used a standard Coastal Blue color of regular old acrylic craft paint. I stamped with a silver Brilliance pad on both, and it looked great. Then I switched to my VersaColor aqua/sea blue chalk pad and stamped the same design. It didn't show up at all on the Coastal Blue, but on the Lumiere, it looked silver. On just plain white paper, it barely shows up at all!

I am intrigued by the Cat's Eye chalk pads, in the little sets, but I don't want to buy them if they're going to look real "wimpy" on the pages. We'll be working with Twinkling H2O's, scrapbook paper, and other mediums, so I want something that'll show up.

I also don't have a heat gun, so embossing isn't something I'll be doing for this project. I realize it would help make things show up but I'm not ready for that yet! (too chicken)

Any advice?

Thanks!

Well if you had good results with the brilliance, why not stick with brilliance dew drops? If you are looking for a nice soft blue, try sky blue by brilliance....

Not sure of you have a need for red but brilliance also has this color called rocket red gold which is really cool. (not to be confused with rocket red which they also have)

Know how most inks when they are two tone have the color plus like a pearl shade? Well Rocket Red gold has an GOLD shade, so if you tip it one way its red, if you tip it the other its gold. Very cool product.

Ditto on this- you can also get the Brilliance tear drop shaped one for about 3.00 each. I wouldn't buy the set.
