:confused: Amy, I'm sorry I can't figure out how to sign up for the swaps or what the rules are to participate in like the monthly swap. I never participated in a forum before and when I look at the FAQ's I don't seem to be seeing it either. Can you direct me to where I need to go to read about all this. I've only been signed up for one day and it looks really exciting and all but I'm just stumped as to how to begin. Thanks for the silly new girl, Pat Withers :confused:

I'm glad you asked! To sign up for a swap you can either reply to the thread by hitting the Post Reply button on the bottom left or do the Quick Reply at the bottom of the thread. Or you can just send a Private Message to the hostess by left clicking on their name (left click on my XrayAmy name right now and you'll see the menu drop down) and selecting Send a Private Message. Let me know if you have any problems or any more questions...I'm here to help!

Also, the swaps are pretty much whatever the host decides it will be. I'm in the Feb color challenge (tag swap) which is growing so we each need to make more tags to get swapped out by the host. We did a card front swap that was 1 to 1 (host pulled names and we sent 1 card front to a recipient); there's usually an ATC swap that has been a set of 4 and receive 4 back after the host swaps them out - bummer for me this time since so many folks joined it opened up to 8 and receive 8 back but I ran out of time!

You sometimes have to stumble around in the thread to find out what the theme and expectations are since most hosts let the group have the final say on what they want to do. And, of course, we all want to ooh and aah so putting up your finished product in the gallery is always welcome. If you don't have the capability to do that, just ask and the host may set you up with a recipient who can do it for you.

Thanks Amy and Karen. I talked to Ann too in a private message and she suggested that I just wait until next month so I can get my bearings and I think she is right.
