I invested in a Wizzard as I have heard so many raves about it and watched the videos numerous times. I purchased one and today finally got to play. Long story short the little lever on the side to reverse etc flew off with a tiny spring and I noticed the lever had a lot if wiggle in it but for whatever reason I really had a tuff time getting it to engage and feed through never got the ratchet sound. Yes I reviewed before I started and no good now I have a problem with it and am so bummed out. Since it is Sunday I have to wait to try to call Spellbinders.
I purchased it from Marco's do I try there first or Spellbinders direct?
The video makes it look a lot easier than the actual doing it unless my machine just happened to have a problem to begin with. Gosh I sure hope that is the case. I still truly believe in the Wizzard but now I am shook up a bit!
Has anyone else had troubles or is it just flukey old me?

Hey Spiedey I think you got a bad machine. I have one and it's as sterdy as can be. No problems with it. I would start with Marco's and go from there:) Barb

I got a referral from Marco's direct to Spellbinders and they were awesome to get right back to me. They got a shipment of bad handles in and I was one of the recipients of a bad handle so a replacement one is on order. The tuffest part is the wait....2-3 weeks:( but I am really excited to get it squared away.
Question?
Does the handle normally have a lot of wiggle ( sideways play) to it? Aside from this little setback that is one sturdy machine and I do anticipate really enjoying it!

Well I have managed to hang in there for about 2 weeks and it is very difficult but no choice. I am so anxious to get back to exploring the wizzard. Now I see the latest machine coming out...at first I was worried that it was going to replace the Wizzard and my dumb luck to be caught up in a change out of machines...but I do not get the feeling that wizzards are going anywhere...whew! I have no problem using elbow grease to work the plates through the machine...but this new machine sounds really nice too...lol

PS has anyone signed up to get on a list for one yet?

I forgot to reply that I finally got the handle straightened out and I love this machine. It takes some working with to get the proper "sandwich" for some things but over all I love this machine and have no regrets in the purchase of it. Like me it has a few quirks but that is what makes us a matched set I think!
I would warn not for children to play with as it packs some serious pressure but boy does it make my life happy!
